A 6.5 AR10 is not going to be any more expensive than a .308. You can get a really good Aero M5 for about $1400. You can get a Ruger American for under 1/3 of that.
If you're doing an AR10 or M14 I'd stick with .308. You're probably going to be doing some plinking with .308 (lol) and will benefit from that cheaper ammo.

A guy your size on a Vulcan 900 would look like a monkey fukking a football, and yes you would get laughed at. Kawi doesn’t really do cruisers any more and that bike has always been marketed to females and beginners. Get a lightly used Mean Streak 1600, Warrior 1700 or Suzuki M109. They’re big and heavy and pretty much balance themselves but look good and aren’t beginner tricycles. Cruiser bikes have about a quarter of the horsepower per liter as sport bikes, so don’t think you’ll wind out the throttle and pick up the front wheel on any cruiser. If you don’t want Jap you can do a V-Rod, Triumph Rocket, Victory Vegas, there’s tons of garage queen bikes a few years old with low miles you can get well under the price of a Vulcan’t

On Midway for $140/500 = .27/rnd
CCI primers at the store today $40/brick = .04/rnd
Brass = free.99
Powder, I use Varget for now. On Midway 8lb @ $217, about 24grain a load = $.09/rnd
SOOOOOOOOO
AHEM
I win @ $.40/round. Plus I can fine-tune the load as necessary.
But if ya want to blast away and have $$$, unlike some us of frugal college students, buy it all lol
Edit: I get lucky and am able to purchase some of these on sale so it's a bit lower

For factory vs reloads, 0.40 per round counting brass as free and not counting equipment costs vs 0.56 per round for IMI...that's not bad at all for the factory.
When I do the math, if I count the brass as free for the reloading, I count the sale price of the brass for the factory side. It's faulty to completely ignore all brass and just throw it away for the factory ammo in this comparison...collect it and sell it

Meh brass I collect for free on our shooting grounds, usually factory once-used stuff. Hence free. The tools have already payed themselves off, I reload for my 7 Rem mag and 10mm. But as I stated, $.56/round is pretty good if you cannot be bothered. I have 2k rounds of their M193 back when it was under $.20/round and it shoots a bit over MOA in my Colt. Dirty also. Idk about their 77 grainers.
Ya I wish that was all the colored folk in my cheap ghetto apartments yelled about. Here is a story
"bitch whered ya loose my Lebrons"
"In da trash"
"Bitch I aint playing the fuk they in the trash for the fuk I paying for this place"
"mhm and whose car you using to drive over to Lakesha? Oh I already know, so move along and take your chit with ya this time and lose the key"
It moved to screaming at that point and I nearly told them to fukk off at 1 in the morning. If they weren't arguing about who they were sleeping with they were having the loudest makeup sex I have ever heard. Loud enough to record on snapchat and send to the gf. Both were gone the next week, thankfully.

Morning, boys. Last day of school for the kiddos. Not sure what's on tap for the long weekend . . . work has been crazy and I think it will largely be a "decompress" break. Might go to the range tonight. Wife is going to the Taylor Swift concert with her sister (Inb4 Cox).

Latest liberal dumbassery is they're simply not going to send their kids to school anymore until gun bans happen.
