    Alternative for side lateral raises

Listen i love lifting man, training shoulders also. Push Press, military press, reverse pec deck flyes they are all great man.
But if there is one freaking exercise i hate so much. So much, and it is not because i am weak or not feeling it.
I mean it is a great exercise, it does what it needs to do. If lightweight kills you it is a great exercise no doubt.
But that doesn't mean i do not hate it, these stupid...

    Side.
    Lateral.
    Raises.

**** them. I have been doing them for years now and they work. And i hate them. But i can not find an alternative.
I want wide shoulders, sure. I wanna work for them. I'll even do them if there is no alternative...

But if you guys know one, please, oh please tell me.
So you're on the internet for good advice, here's some good advice: have a good laugh once in a while. And never tear your bicep!

I do upright rows with a cambered bar. It allows the arms to stay at your sides which focuses more on the side delt

Face-pulls were shown to activate the medial deltoids almost just as much as they do the posterior according to some EMG tests from Bret Contreras.

How come you don't like them? I think it might be easier to suggest an alternative if I know what you want to avoid.

Even though you lift lightweight with them they're hard as hell. It's one of the few exercises that takes a lot of effort from me to do, which causes me to make a weird looking face when reaching failure.

I do a lot of face pulls. Upright rows might be the one i was looking for. Any homebrew exercises are also welcome.

And Sm1ke, i used to do them with 16 kilogram dumbbells with passion. Grunting, motivated to get bouldershoulders. I would do them like yates on the cable too.
later do them with 10 kilograms.. 7... 4.... and then not at all. Because i couldn't take it anymore. I feel so damn bored doing this motion. Standing there...
staring in the abyss... waving my ****ing arms like a chicken trying to fly away... looking myself straight in the eye through the medium of the mirror, it w as revealed to me that i looked like a constipated ****ing chihuahua doing this motion heavy. Eyes almost popping out my skull... no this is not the exercise for me... but i like face pulls though. And upright rows i never done. So this is exciting. I will do a new exercise which means DOMS!

Please guys, side raises or lateral raises. Side lateral raises are not a thing.

    Just a pet peeve, sorry.

OT; as others mentioned I'd recommend upright rows or facepulls, but recently I really started liking banded lateral raises.
