Agreed with first point that there would be an increase in both, however stabbings and bombings can still happen regardless of guns or not.

That's actually a nice solution to the problem that we as a country can't just remove all guns. If we can't begin to limit them, this is a good compromise and again could increase safety around schools/other public areas. Repped for serious answer.

This is the idea that the government can give you safety... but its ignorant to the fact that the government can't give you something that it can't also take away. Remember that. Safety is an illusion.

What lefties and especially foreigners don't understand about the US government is that it's the one that is restricted here. Not the American ppl. The US government does not have the power and authority to ban semi-autos.

You might point to the 1994 assault weapons ban...all that did was ban gun makers from manufacturing new weapons after the date the law was passed and it never made it to the supreme court's because the ban expired in 2004. Not quite the same thing as an indefinite ban and making "assault weapons"illegal to own.

I cant remember where I read it but someone had a good point. Use retired soldiers. Enough of them are looking for work and they are more likely able to actually handle a situation like a school shooting.

Also if people actually look at the deadliest incident at a school it was way back when some guy actually blew up a school. At least with school shootings there could be a point where it ends. With a bomb the start and end of the incident is over in milliseconds.... there is no "holy **** what the **** am I doing" moment where hopefully the shooter runs away or kills themself.

A bolt action rifle is more deadly then a ar15. If a gun can take down a grizzly bear how many kids do you think it could go through? The clips might be smaller but each bullet is gonna do more damage.

And in other countries where only police officers/military can carry, there aren't school shootings. So how does a civilian having access to these guns help at all? This is not just a liberal issue lmao.

If in Europe they suddenly decided to make firearms legal, instead of having some degenerate rob you with a knife he'll just point a gun at you instead. That might be a little expensive. Also, when I retire, I don't think I want to work security in a school dealing with teenagers. You have no idea how bad the administration is, every time there's a fight, the principal wants them arrested.
