    Exclamation Am I Cutting "Properly"? [New To training and nutrition]

    Height: 5'4"
    Weight: 135
    Cut Macros: 1813 calories, 213g Carbs, 113g protein, 57g fat (according to IIFYM.com)
    Lifting 5-6x a week, HIIT 3-4x a week
    GW: 125-7 in 2 months or so

    ~I've started committing to weight training for a little over a month, have been 'cutting' for over a month, yet I have gained weight, feel slightly sluggish and not as "light" as I did when I did exclusively cardio (running in my park, 22% incline)

    Additionally, I am feeling so full eating 1813 cal. a day and sometimes my body seems to reject the idea of "more food, again"

    Should I just adjust my macros a few notches down at the same ratio, or should I stick with this cut plan despite the side effects listed above. Also, should I implement more cardio into my routine?

    Read the stickies, stick to your protein and fat minimum, take the calories down to 1500, do not implement more cardio if you are doing HIIT 3-4x/week, and see what happens. You are not eating at a deficit if you feel full and are gaining weight. Could you post everything you eat/drink in a typical day? You may be miscounting your calories.

    For frame of reference. I have a desk job. I am male, 5'8" 180lbs. (down from 215) I eat 1700+/- calories a day, do 20-40 min of elliptical machine 3x per week and I lose weight pretty consistently at about 0.5 - 1.5lbs a week give or take. My macros are roughly 100-110g carbs, 135-150g protein, 70-80g fat. I dont keep super close track, i just keep it in the range.

    While you are doing way more exercise than me, if you feel too full all the time and are trying to lose weight...just eat less.
    Cut your carbs down a bit and leave fat and protein where they are.
