The bmw is actually more horsepower and torque, but it's getting old. Test drove the ss1le camaro and the gt pp, and the camaro feels gigantic. Gt felt much better. I like the supercharger potential as well. Amazing it has better numbers than a 2018 bmw m4 which costs double. Spent thousands upgrading the bmw, this'll be better

I am a side effect of usher syndrome is cataracts. I didn't drive for 11 years due to the cataracts and the lack of peripheral / night blindness. New wife convinced me to have them removed, even though that might preclude me from future trials. I started driving a moped again at first, and when we moved to TX, we paid a premium to live 2 miles from work. I used to work for bmw, so I bought one. Then I realized how cheap and easy my model year was to mod, so I did that. We have a warehouse Area near me I can drive crazy and is safe I learned a lot about modding, and now I'll have a new project...

What's all this horsespower and torque nonsense? It's all about FUN and character. Which for you is more fun to drive. Personally, being in a BMW is like sitting inside a laptop, that's no fun. On paper the Mustang is a terrible car, I mean the rear axle nonsense, the poor cornering. But on the road it definitely has the fun factor. Go for it !

The new Mustangs have independent rear axles now. No more solid axles.

Most, and I mean most, will never hit the mechanical limits of whatever car they are driving. This is especially true of overall handling.

I have upgraded my Mustangs suspension, also have front & rear cross braces which stiffen everything up. Zero issues with handling here.

I am looking to upgrade to an 18 GT as well, or a 718 Porsche.

Yes, and as far as character, even though I like BMW, IMO, the Mustang has greater character because you are not depending nearly as many electronics. As Corbs infers, the newer Mustangs have excellent suspensions.

Congrats, Ford has really done a good job with all their cars but the 2015+ Mustang is freaking awesome IMO.

What model BMW do you have now that has more power than a 5.0?

The 2018 BMW M4 is 425hp. Yes, it can whip a Mustang around a track, but you pay 2X for it.

The 2018 BMW M5 is 600hp and is ridiculous.

Damn, had not heard of the new M5 yet. Horsepower AND torque haha. The previous M5 had that killer v10 but not much torque.

Dru said that he had an older BMW though so was just curious. The e39 M5 is still on my dream car list but those damn things just keep going up in value for a low mileage pristine example.

F-Types are sweet and sound awesome with the right exhaust.

The 2018 Mustangs have 460 hp which isn't bad for naturally aspirated. And the 15 & up models are fun, we rented an Eco Boost convertible in Miami & I was having a blast with it.

Yes. Fine car. One correction though my man. That is a 1969 Boss 302. If you look closely on the side panel and enlarge it, you will see that it says Boss 302. Also, 1969 is the only early year the Mustang had dual headlamps.

But, the 1970 Mach 1 is a very fine car

Totally gorgeous. My best friend in high school had a 1969 Boss 302. Red. Loved that car.

My very first car was a 1965.5 Mustang. I didn't know much about cars then and it only had a 6 cyl and I could run faster than it could go. But, it looked good. It was yellow.

The owner told me that this was owned by a guy that had a friend with a nearly identical one and they used to swap out engines and drag race them.
It's a Boss351 3 speed and felt like it didn't have a cruising gear. Even in third gear, it wanted to go more. A bit scary though as I had zero sight to back up. His mirrors were a little off and the louvers in the back didn't help.

Still loved it and the heads that turn not only from seeing it but hearing it coming from a mile away.
