This is an expensive piece from what is intended to be a commercial line for them. It needs to be right, give them a chance to work through it as everyone has shipping issues with big stuff like this, but at the end of the day either its right or send it back and move to another supplier.

My review of their RH footplate has never shown up in the 2x I've left it. Summary is quality piece but not designed properly for the RHs they offer. It needs an extra joint like I added or like the Legend piece they based their's from but failed to include. That said if one is under 5'6" it may work.

Honestly, since I shopped this for two years and couldn’t find much info. I’m just using this thread as a record for anyone to look at in the future.

Though maybe I shouldn’t be naive, but I’m little disenfranchised that they “cherry pick” their reviews.

Agreed, that is a common tactic that needs to become extinct. I actually like seeing negative reviews on sites, at least then I know I can trust the positive ones.

I know this thread is almost a year old but I am looking to purchase this. I was wondering how you enjoy it after a year of use and if your problems got resolved?

Ummm, it’s ok. I’m not glowing over it, however I don’t regret the purchase. Rogue tried to remedy my issues, replaced torn seat and broken pulley, but the original guides with my fix worked better then the new ones.

There’s a bushing under the seat to facilitate upright rows it developed a groove in it quickly, so I abandoned that movement until I find a replacement. Hopefully they’ve improved it and their quality assurance.

I hate derailing a useful thread like thread like this, but I had a question about your Hammer Strength power rack, tjp. How did you go about acquiring three sets of the reversible j-cups? Did you pay life-fitness full price, or did you find an alternate source? I bought a pair for $300+ some years back from Life Fitness, but can't bring myself to pay that much again for the convenience of not moving my j-cups for different exercises.

I bought all mine in a package deal when I first bought my rack from an authorized seller.

I feel your pain as I wanted a platform attachment for strongman sandbags, life fitness wanted $500, tried to get black widow mfg to make them and they didn’t want to mess with the slot design.

Honestly that’s why I like the rogue racks now, they have a ton of accessories and third parties building stuff too for their racks. They just weren’t as big when I bought my rack years ago, someday I may replace the hammer rack with a rogue one, then I could have even saved money buying the bolt on lat pull.....

That's a very nice rack, 7 gauge, 3"x3", is that correct?, oh and what's the hole spacing?.

Spacing is not ultra tight between slots, I have never measured, but it's at closest 2 inches- I'd estimate, probably slightly more. I actually slide a piece of stall matting under my bench when bench pressing to get the ideal setting for the safeties.

Poorly phrased on my part, I realise its a drop in rack, I have a Legend Pro series rack with 3 1/2" spacing, I was just wondering what the spacing was on the Hammer rack.

The hole spacing for most of the drop in racks are 3-4 inches. I'm pretty confident that Hammer Strength is the same. There are very few that are less than 3 inches. The Dynamic Fitness Ultra Racks are 2 inches, and I think there's another brand that might be 2 inches as well. My York rack is 3 inches I think (might be 3.5). Great racks and the drop in safeties are fantastic.

One thing I've discovered after having my York rack for awhile - hole spacing is grossly overrated for most people. My next rack will probably have 2 inch hole spacing or less, but I haven't had any big issues dealing with the bigger spacing.

I was encouraged by you to get full measurements/dimensions about 3 years ago to get a quote on your baller-assed monolifts, since they only were gonna run me less than $100 more than more of those j-cups, but when my wife found out about all the cost and what-not I was informed that it wasn't the best direction to take my marriage... so yeah, never measured the spacing.

I used to have a York Half Rack, I'm pretty sure you're correct, 3" on the rack spacing, it was a great rack, but my Legend rack was just too tempting.

This allows you to flip them and use the j hooks facing out from the rack towards the front. All the slotted channels are facing inward, makes your j hooks more versatile.

yea I don't get why both hooks can't be oriented the same direction. I guess it doesn't really matter cause you won't be able to have a loaded bar on both sides but still

Received email today about UPS not delivering and had to tell Rogue I am willing to pick it up. I hope UPS will deliver though. Was it a difficult process for the driver to get it off the truck?

I don't have this measurement but if you are looking for cable accessories this is the forum thread on them with reviews etc...: https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showt...hp?t=169800563

You might want to start at the back. Off the top of my head MAG grips (Med Suppinate, Wide), American Barbell's triceps pushdown. These are some favorites but lots more. I bought the MAG wide due to 38" width vs 48" for conventional lat bar (space savings so I can keep machine closer to wall) - love it.

I'll second the MAG handles, the medium supinate and pronate are equally good for lat pulldowns and cable rows, the wide grip has become my go to lat bar, all 3 handles are excellent.

    I'm considering

The rack attached version of this but this review has me a bit worried. I know this is shipped fully assembled but can it be taken apart some? It would be going in basement and I only have one strong person to help.....

Would much prefer the new reflex rogue one but it's much to tall. I have a cybex lat that came apart some...

Was a forklift required to remove this machine from truck? Not sure why it would be as ups has lowered heavier pallets for me with liftgate but rogue says it's required

Yes pretty sure you can take it apart to move it down in your basement. If I were a betting man I'd bet the designer was thinking of putting one in his/ her basement or something by the way it assembles

According to rogue no... Disappointed in rogues machines outside my belt squat. Their lat pulldowns are unnecessarily tall and theu won't ship with partially disassembled. Going to go with the elite signature which is much shorter and they are willing to ship it partially disassembled as well.

Was thinking about getting an Ader steel weight stack and I remembered this thread. It looks like Rogue is using their weight stack for the lat tower.

The selector rod hits the plates/comes out because because the center hole is 1 1/8" diameter. That's only a 1/4" larger than the 7/8" selector rod. I have no idea why they would make them that way. More clearance in the hole allows for the inevitable movement as the top plate and stack move along the guide rods.

If you try to manufacture the plates to have a really tight fit on the guide rods, it will just increase the friction and they won't move as smoothly. So the simple no-brainer solution is to have a large center hole in the plates. Other manufacturers have done this:

    Inspire fitness 1.5" diameter hole:

    Body Solid 1 3/8" ( or 1.5")

definitley not 2 inches. standard is 3 inches for slotted with some as much as 4. hammer seems closer to 3.5 or so. only a couple companies make slotted with 2 inch spacing ...dynamic and arsenal. Hammer rack isn't 7 g . 11 g 7g in the slotting area. i do like hte lower crossmembers of hammer racks. not the most aesthetic but makes sorinex elite and rogue look shakey and rickety side to side in comparison. ive added lower crossmembers to my rogue racks. the walk through design is crap. saw some guy doing dips on sorinex and it was noticeably shaking with bodyweight , ...pathetic for a rack that probably cost 5k with delivery...

They said they do not recommend taking it apart. and they will not send with weights off. Rogue outside the rhino blows for machines.
