So back in March 17 I had life saving surgery to remove a sarcoma cancer tumour from my pelvis. 12 hour operation and pretty much all of it was removed including sigmoid/rectum/bladder/uretha/prostrate. I was in critical care for 2 days which I remember nothing as I was high as a kite on morphine. Surgical complications arose and I needed my left testicle removed. After 3 weeks recovery I left hospital with a urostomy and a colostomy bag stuck on my stomach. I headed home feeling pretty low but with my family supporting me I started to look forward.
Issues arose a few weeks after I got home, man I was so low, getting upset and falling asleep pretty much every hour. A blood test diagnosed me as having very low test. I started on TRT and I immediatly started to feel better. I started on the gels but moved to injections shortly after.
Mobility was very poor for 3 months my ligaments and nerves were damanged in my pelvis and I have constant pins and needles in both feet. Just going up stairs and getting around the house was v.hard.
As time went on I eased back into work after 6 months and now January 18 I'm back full time.
Lifting was something I enjoyed for a few years until my operation and I was keen to get back at it.
So here I am week 2 of Allpro.
Starting Weights - all 2 sets of 8 to 12 reps over 5 weeks. 1:30 min rest between sets.
Squat 30kg
Bench Press 35kg
Bent over Row 25kg
OHP 20kg
SLDL 30kg
BB Curl 20kg
Calf Raise 55kg
Comments:
Bench feels really good and I should progress good on this.
Squat feels really awkward with my foot mobility issues but its the King of All Lifts so I'm keeping doing it until I get my groove on.
The rest are ok, the weights are so low I can make sure I execute good form.

Cycle 2 : Week 1: Day 1:
Was well rested during the weekend. Felt great beforehand.
sq 40 x 8/8
Decided to up it a further 5kg. Nice and smooth could have got more.
bp 40 x 12/8 & 42.5 x 8
Very nice. Good bracing and fast off the chest. Paused too.
Tried a bit more weight and managed it well.
BOR 30 x 8/8
Kept at 30kgs as I thought my form on test day was a bit suspect. But found them too easy will bump to 32.5kgs as planned.
OHP 22.5 x 12/8
2nd set was much harder
SLDL 40 x 8/8
Made these much harder by not grounding the weight. Good bracing too.
BB curl 22.5 x 8/8
Braced well and fired 6 curls very smoothly. Stretched at the top flat wrist. Bar slowed for the final two reps.
calf raise 50 x 8/8
Machine was busy so did dumbbell stretch with 10kg. Hard..
And guess what I did 1 full chin up from a dead hang..!
Enjoying it..Last edited by daawhitty; 02-13-2018 at 01:40 AM.

Monday 20/2/18 - Cycle 2 : Week 2: Day 1:
No light day last week - I know this isn't optimal so I will try and get the time set aside to hit a solid 3 week sessions.
Plan to also do a 12 week cut as I'm at 168lb and around 20-22% I'm thinking a good 15-18lbs loss will get me below 15% ready for summer hols. And then bulk aftewards.
Squat 40 x 8/8 - RPE 8.5
Paused. High Bar - I really worked on keeping the weight over and on my quads as they are my week point. I don't want to start to go too heavy without building these up as I can forsee snap city. I found it tough to maintain balance and drive quickly out of the hole. Still frustratingly I get some assymetry when fatigued so next time I'm going to do some Bulgarian Squats to assist.
Bench Press 32.5 x 8 & 42.5 x 9/9
All reps paused, only started to slow bar speed at rep 6 - Would say a good RPE 8
Bent Over Row 35 x 9/9
These were good reps lowest RPE of all tonights exercises. RPE 7.5
OHP 22.5 x 8/12
Braced well - wanted to see if I could 12 reps and I could. RPE 9
SLDL 42.5 x 9/9
Feeling it in my hammys - I have to keep queing myself not to ground the bar to keep the movement more difficult. Worked on keeping myself braced too. RPE 8
BB curl 22.5 x 8/12
Was easier again. RPE 8.5
Calf Raise 40 x 9/9
Full ROM - used the standing machine.
45 Minutes again. Peak 148.New Year New Me - Lifting after serious illness

Switched to low bar on squats felt much better today, more in control and locked into my body. Beginning to be more explosive on the first few reps, keeping the eccentric to a steady pace.
Bench was tougher today but I still hit a rep pr.
