This, it is highly ironic how people say a wall is pointless and stupid. I bet money that they all have fences around their yard and live in a walled building aka a house. Walls have been used for centuries to secure areas i.e. castles, great wall of china, secured areas, schools, prisons etc. But holy S let us lose our minds over building one to protect our country and way of life.

You cannot really go after the employers as the illegals get illegal documents that check out in the systems circa 98-02 when I did hiring junk at fast food as a kid, dunno if it is more sophisticated which I doubt. illegal would fill out application, we set up meeting, they sign chit then have to bring in papers. They come back a few days later with I chit you not brand new hot off the press SS# card, Driver's license and birth certificate.

The US Constitution says nothing of the ability to regulate immigration, only the naturalization of them. The Naturalization Act of 1790 and subsequent acts didn't regulated immigration whatsoever but only set standards for citizenship. That's how it was for the first 100 years, it wasn't until 1875 with the Page Act that we stated seeing federal regulation of immigration and that was pure racism against Asians. Immigrants are a net gain, the only drawback is a short-term effect on wages but that corrects itself and leads to benefits for everyone. It shouldn't matter how they enter, there's shouldn't be a difference between legal and illegal immigrants, no person is illegal.

That makes no sense. If you don’t make a very, very coordinated effort to catch them...you can’t starve them off. Sure, you will limit X percentage of them. Just like a wall will limit X number of them from getting here in the first place. You have to come up with a multi faceted approach, chipping away at it. There is no magic bullet.

Many people clearly have never worked around hispanics in any meaningful way. The logistics of catching an illegal is where it breaks down. Let’s look at one small example. You hire a lawn care company. They come and service your lawn once every X weeks. Are you going to ID and background check the crew? Will you be home to identify if one of the people have changed out since the last time you ID’d them and did a background check? How will you know if Jesus Rodriguez is actually Luis Costello, but he went and got legal documents stating he is Jesus...that pass a background check?

I’m all for strengthening our laws against hiring illegals. But that will put a dent into it, not shatter it. People who say that are ignorant on the subject. And I mean truly ignorant, as in lacking knowledge on the subject, not the insult version of the word.

I mean a 3rd party audit. Like check everyone's papers. It's done now, but very sparingly, and the fines are nothing, it's like $500 per migrant.
