Crazy how we have this thing called Google where we can look up conversions then use a calculator to finish the work. Actually most of the time Google even does the calculation for us.

True, but you can estimate the density compared to water for most things in your head...(most liquids: 1ml=1gram, fatty foods: 1ml=.75gram, bread: 1ml=.50gram, etc.). Certainly not exact, but close enough for most people tracking calories, as the need to convert doesn't come up that often.

Just ask yourself how what you're converting compares in density to water .

They are virtually the same.

Example: Miracle Whip 887 mL = 850 grams (1mL = .96 gram)
