Initially I favored Stipe, and I'd still like to see him win for HW history's sake, but as the fight nears this is feeling more and more like the Garbrandt/Cruz situation
People were saying Cody was all hype, unproven, and would get schooled by the more experienced and tested fighter. I just didn't see it; looking at Garbrandt's skill set and the way he trained I was convinced he had that fight
I'm now feeling the same way about Ngannou. I have Stipe getting KO'd brutally in the first. Either way, I'm sure it will be a great fight
War Volkan too.. I like that guy. Also wanna see the hometown kid Kattar, or whatever his name is, win because he looked solid in his early notice debut against Fili

If Stipe wins it would, imo, be due to him sticking and moving/surviving for 1.5-2 rounds then hoping Ngannou doesn’t last in deep waters
I don’t think wrestling will play a factor at all, honestly. I don’t think Stipe would be able to keep him down plus he’d be in danger of getting a limb grabbed along the way and submitted by force. I also don’t think Stipe would do well in the clinch

I find it interesting that I was such an Ngannou fan for his last few fights and was not a Stipe fan.
Now for some reason on this fight I'm pumped for Stipe to win. I almost despise myself for being so anti-hype train. No reps for the wicked ★ Deacon at the Church of Iron ★ Boring Adult Crew

It certainly won't help matters, but it's not impossible to overcome. Look at Luke Rockhold when he fought Chris Weidman. He had a terrible staph infection, and worked Weidman.
I sure hope Stipe wins this one though. I hate hype trains.
But if Francis can win, and win big, I'll give him all the credit in the world. He will have proven himself and I'll get his name tattooed on my ankle.

A pathetic showing from the Red Goof during that press conference, claims that Tony vs Khabib was for the REAL title yet just refusing to answer the simple question of whether Conor is stripped or not, after he was pressed on it multiple times, the one question he knew everyone wanted an answer to instead he acts like a ****ing child and dances around the question. Such a fukn pussy. Sad!
