would reccommend for all high level athletes

Edit: Original post typed on phone, structure not ideal

Essentially if you're playing a sport at a high level and you see yourself playing for a long time/want to keep your body in optimum shape I would most definitely recommend partaking in yoga.

Video I linked will stretch every part of your body and is vital for recovery.

This isn't English, what's your point. I agree that practicing Yoga is good for athletes. My son's HS hired a Yoga instructor to come in on Wednesdays during their summer S&C program to lead the athletes in Yoga. They did see benefits in terms of decreased injuries, balance/proprioception, recovery, and focus. It's now a fairly normal training practice.

Typed from my phone so not structured ideally but still don't get how you couldn't understand that. Just a simple post stating yoga is beneficial, especially the higher up you go where frequency + intensity increases while also linking a video that I believe to be very different than what usually pops up when you type "yoga" into youtube.

I read what you wrote and is was nonsensical. Don't use the phone as an excuse. If you're going to write something take the time to proofread what you wrote. Your edit is much better.

You sound weirdly bitter. Only thing wrong with my original post was a comma missing. No idea why you're still commenting, not really productive, please move on.

Yeah, yoga is good. I did it when I was with a SEAL Team years ago.

Stretching, foam rolling, and other mobility work is also equally good.

Dont get butthurt that you arent the first one to discover active recovery.

Wait how does this imply I'm butthurt that I didn't "discover active recovery"...Isn't this forum titled "Sports Training"? No idea why a bunch of grown men over double my age are commenting on this. Simply encouraging people who are still playing sports (obviously not you) that yoga is beneficial.

Maybe some of us have been playing sports longer than you have been alive, and want to qualify you splooging all over a "discovery" that we learned decades ago.

Maybe you would be happier posting your breaking research in the teen misc section instead.

All I have done the last few years is spar with professional MMA fighters, so my knowledge of recovery probably pales in comparison to your 2 years of JV football.

That's pathetic man. Telling people something I personally found beneficial is all I did. Never did I talk about making a "discovery". Just cringe that a grown man is salty because someone is talking about something they already "learned decades ago". Is this a competition or something? Lololol embarrassing man.

I just cringe that random poster on the internet is getting so upset about his status as a training guru on this forum. Lololol embarassing man.

Cant wait to hear your advice on supplements. Ever heard of whey protein?

Essentially if you're playing a sport at a high level and you see yourself playing for a long time/want to keep your body in optimum shape I would most definitely recommend partaking in whey protein.
