    Yes. Strength training promotes an increase in insulin sensitivity which results in more blood glucose being used by the muscle fibers. Also, view the study posted above, it provides good information about protein uptake and resistance training.

    MPS can be elevated up to ~48-72 hours after a workout. The evidence so far suggests that training a muscle ~2 or ~3 per week might be optimal.
