Has anyone actually been to rural America (Trump Country)?

Literacy rates are low compared to the productive parts of the US. They are of ill health. They cling to religious superstitions. They are takers who rely on federal assistance. I lived in an area that was populated heavily by Trump voters until about a year ago. My neighbors were a couple consisting of a Nurse Practitioner and a Nurse, a retired police detective, a home builder, a surgeon, a nice retired lady and a VP of IT security for a firm in Jacksonville, FL. I don't think anyone was on federal assistance or couldn't read, but congrats to them if they were able to build houses and perform surgery while being illiterate (srs they must have been really good at their jobs).

Was considered rural US and populated by the nicest people I've ever been around.

Lived in Midlothian, Texas. Loved it. Acre and a half, 1800 square foot house, 4 bedroom, 2 and a half bathroom. The grocery store trip would be a planned weekend event, and we had a freezer for storage.

Had to move, though. Internet availability was terrible, and my school and job needed more bandwidth.

I'm sure it's more industrialized now, but it was great country living. No burn laws, so we had a gun range in the backyard. Great people, we had fresh banana bread, chocolate chip, and peanut butter cookies our first couple of weeks of moving there. While some voted Trump, others I keep in contact with said they penciled in Cruz lol.
