I would love an unpolished stainless steel bar.

Ivanko offered both a polished and polished version.

No they offered a matt finish (acid bath after heat treating) then one with nothing done after the heat treat that is colored a kind of purple from the oil that is used to cool it, which is what I have.
I think Iron wolfe didn't use oil to cool like ivanko did as it turns out differently.

That Purple/Blue was something special! AB made a post recently about their classic Super Power Bar on Instagram, which I thought was hilarious because it wasn't really available long enough to become a true 'Classic'. I tried asking them if they were ever going to bring it back and got no response, must have been too expensive to make?

Thanks for the feedback guys! FWIW I am going to visit our factories at the end of the month, and one thing on my "to-do" list is checking out some knurl samples I requested. I'd like 2 versions of this bar: The current with medium knurl, and another with deep/sharp knurl. Then it will be up to the customer for their preference.

Also FYI there is no V3, just actually doing the V2 correctly. Then the bar is done. But there will be V2 standard, and V2 deep knurl.

Waiting for V2 deep knurl... Great price ! Im just wondering about how strong stainless steel is (resistance to permanent bend..) compared to bare steel.. At Rogue site for example, stainless steel bars are listed as "F2", while bare steel 29 bars listed as "F8-R" a fabrique tretament which I guess relates to heat, "tempering"... Im not sure stainless steel can take it,,,

I wouldn't recommend paying attention to those ratings at all.

I wouldn’t look to much into Rogues rating system. They do there testing in-house instead of having an independent do it.

They actually hired a company to do their testing, it was in one of their videos. They sponsored it of coarse. )

Doubt you'll see
a difference real world strength between stainless and carbon steel
They probably just temper them to different specs.

Knurl sample was approved and approved for production.

As others mentioned, I wouldn't be worried about the strength. We all use a stainless alloy because basic 301 etc...can't be heat treated as far as I'm aware. You need an alloy to do it, which is what we use.

Credit Card in ready status, just say the word! Still haven't decided on what to do with the Mammoth, although I don't think I could sell it until AB stops the current sale. But I think it's imperative that I have another stainless barbell from REP, to go with all those Equalizer plates

^Working on it. It's a tougher challenge than anticipated because the steel's hardness is beyond the current machinery's capability to go deeper. Once we have a solution I'll update.

Maybe you shouldn't comment on the cost of quality equipment like Trumpf instead of the cheap chinese knock off machines that don't work.
