Had a 50" Samsung plasma until it fried after 12 years up until October.
Went to my 55" Vizio from the doghouse as a back up...UHD 4K...cheap $500 TV

The new LG OLED reminds me of the old plasma as far as the black goes, but the resolution going up to a 65" is as sharp as any TV I have ever seen!
It looks as if every show/game you watch is CGI animation....

lmao, I was wondering that so looked it up. Average is actually anywhere between 85 and 115 depending on what data set you are looking at. So gamers come up suprisingly well. Although when you think about it the really stupid probably don;t have the means to play videogames or rather just rot watching TV than think and interact with something. So I guess it actually makes sense.
