    I contemplated leaving out warmup reps altogether but I think some warmup reps are close to some people’s work weight or if they compete even heavy singles are warmups so I decided to include them all.

    Should we raise the total number? It seemed like it was somewhat difficult to meet the squat goal last year; so, I thought being really conservative with the deadlift goal would allow us to complete it. If we count RDLs etc. then perhaps 100K would be sufficient?

    Not many people do deadlifts plus it's usually done with lower reps so 100k might be hard to hit. Make it simpler by making it all variations.

    It would be better to have a conservative number as we don't want to fail it the first time we try it.

    For the record I think only variations where the plates touch the floor between each rep (i.e. no RDLs, block or rack pulls) should be counted (which would include regular and deficit deadlifts of any persuasion, conv., sumo, jefferson etc), but I guess we've already started counting RDLs so.....
