I don’t think anyone’s advocating that stealing mayonnaise should be punishable by death. But if someone breaks into your home, you have no idea what his/her intentions are. They’ve already demonstrated an egregious disregard for the law and common decency, so they are clearly in the wrong. If you want to take a chance and hope they don’t murder you, rape you, or worse, then that’s on you. But I will always shoot first. I’m not gambling my life away on the chance that some sketchbag who’s already broken into my home will just leave peacefully.

Well the evidence I've seen has led me to believe it isn't the crack that would make them stab me, but the individual.

Most of these crackheads are sad, trodden down people who were already in a bad spot long before their addiction consumed their lives.

I recommend researching the war on drugs if you think killing, imprisoning and ostracizing drug addicts solves any problems.

The thing is, you can't see the intentions of the person who's breaking into your home. Personally I always expect the worse but hope for the best. So if a crack head runs up on me in my own home in the dark, I'm gonna expect that he wants to do me harm, so I will try my damnedest to kill said crack head.

So if someone robbed you and you saw them on the way out of your house, but still on your property, carrying your laptop and some other valuables.. would you still shoot them if they were running away and unarmed? Assuming you're in a stand your ground state
