    Is it okay to workout on antibiotics?

    Hello, the past 2 weeks ive had strep throat and been on antinbiotic twice a day (one in the morning one at night) called pen rafa vk 500.. im suppose to finish it in about 5 days but my weight had gone really down this past weeks because i barely ate anything because of my throat.. I ate like 1 yogurt a day and barely could drink... but now its a lot better since the antibiotics started kicking in..

    so my question is... is it okay to workout while on this kind of antibiotics or can it cause trouble?

    Im not even sure if its strep throat.. my throat was only sore and swollen, there wasnt any white stuff and bacteria... but its pretty much gone...

    First of all, even if it's a viral infection and not a bacterial infection, it's still contagious. Second, even if it's "pretty much gone", you can still transmit it to other people.Third, you can't tell whether your throat has "bacteria" just by looking at it; bacteria are microscopic. You need an actual throat culture and you need to stay in and rest while you finish your course of antibiotics.

    Aside from the obvious that is stated above, none of us (I'm assuming) are your physician or the doctor that prescribed your antibiotics. We can't tell you if its OK to lift weights while using the antibiotics. Call your doctor.
