I attached the Rhino belt squat to the side of the power rack and can use my spud pulley system and utilize the rhino to hold the weight. I can just detach the cable and roll it up out of the way around the top crossmember when not in use. It works Great, though I do plan to modify the pulley system to get it up higher (my rack had to be cut to fit in my basement due to the low ceilings).

Anyways. Here are the pictures of how it turned out. I need to put down baseboards and some crown mounding and do some small painting still to finish my work in the room.
That's a really nice set up. The room looks great.

Super nice setup. Started off that in style. Any thoughts on adding a platform or flooring for pulling?

I have a platform in behind the rack. I bought the Rogue 6x8 frame and put in stall mats and 3/4 plywood. Here is a pic.

very nice polished efficient setup. get a couple of theater seats in there and you'd have a hard time leaving the basement for the most part of a day.

    Thumbs up

If there is one exercise we all love to hate and hate to love,it's the one. A plank is a simple ,effective bodyweight exercise that requires no equipment and can be performed just about anywhere (well, use your judgement).

We started building our home gym in August 2018 and this is it as of a couple months ago. Things have changed a little since then, but not too much.

These gyms are amazing! I thought it would be a laugh to show my current quarantine set up. I have to add the pictures on my profile for now until I get 50 posts, but check it out 😂 just got done with some floor presses. The bar is a used Yukon and the plates are Schislers that I fixed up. Only have the 45’s and 25’s, looking for the rest of the set still!

I had a new axle barbell made. 79 1/2" long 1 15/16" cold rolled steel bar with two M48 washers.
    Steel Bar $78
    Washers $13
Dozen doughnuts to the welder, he won't accept cash. $9

This is my first experience with a bare steel bar.

Awhile back I bought the adjustable brackets for my X-3 Lever arms. I used the old stationary brackets as wall mounted storage for the arms when not on the rack.

Well Purolator showed up today . I have to say the company that sells MAG bars is top notch shipping wise.
Mind blown that I just ordered them and there already here from the US .

Anyways I added the two neutral bars , the mid wide one and the narrow . That section of StoreWall is topped right up now

    Old pic

Recent pic . The new MAGs are the top centre and the second from the top. Will have to try them on back day

Awesome congrats on completing the collection of MAGs, I'm curious to know how the narrow pronate and neutral grips are in particular, those are the only two I don't own.

I’m actually kind of curious myself ,as I’ve never tried the neutrals . I think it’s probably a good idea to get a mix of everything in there , so your muscles don’t get used to the same repetitive movement week after week

Thanks. The mirrors took some planning since they were different sizes and thicknesses. I routed a channel out using a table saw and used different depths and widths so that when mounted, they would look the same size.

    stopped making excuses

Newbie here, finally decided to stop making excuses from COVID and put together my own garage gym.
So far I'm pretty happy, turned out better than expected. Don't see how to add a picture to show it off...

I asked Eric above, says you have to be on IPad or PC to do it. Lot of effort so I might be bothered one day!

Made lots of changes since I last posted my gym here. Sold off a lot of equipment I didn't really need, moved things around a lot, and bought a Prime Fitness functional trainer and bench. I'll be selling off my Rep bench that is pictured but I think I'll be getting a competition flat bench to take its place because the Prime bench is pretty narrow. I'll post a dedicated review for the FT and bench after I get some time using them, for now my body is wrecked just by moving that sucker in place.

Looks great. Really solid use of space too. as the FT is a huge piece. Appreciate the review and pics of it too.

    Long Time Since Update

Long time since update. Bought a new home a few years back which allowed me to expand some. Put up some wall art etc. Room was already a gym with stall mats - whole basement reeked like a tire store so I had to take them out, treat them and then put them back. Mid-40s and been training since high school. Was a trainer for a time but ended up going a different route than S&C though I've often wondered where that path would have led and how much fun I'd have had. Had good fortune to train with some truly great lifters over time who had access to all kinds of stuff but this forum really turned me on to a few things and made a positive difference. Been a lot of fun exchanging ideas, seeing others' setups, and shooting the **** over the years. Figured I'd share where I'm at today.

Having my own setup has allowed me to bring a long-time passion into my home. Kids see me working toward a goal rather than leaving/returning. Saves me a ton of time which I'm short on with work and family these days. Let's me sneak in a quick lift early AM when it's all snow and ice out. During COVID...don't need to tell you guys but all those dollars became even more worthwhile.

Quick list of major equipment pieces:

    RACK AND BENCHES
Rogue RML-690 Rack (monos/safeties in Major Accessories below)
Thompson Fat Pad mounted on Mech6 frame at 17" height
    Rogue Adjustable Bench 1.0

    PLATES
Ivanko Revolvers 100s, 45s, 25s and the Rogue lbs change plates
    Rogue Training 2.0 Bumpers 45s, 25s
Rogue Steel Standard plates 45s, 25s, and lots of change plates
    Iron Woody microloading plates
    5lbs full diameter technique plates
All stored on Rogue rolling plate tree and main rack.

    DUMBBELLS
PowerBlock Pro Rexan 5-130lbs with matching stand

    MAJOR PIECES
Belt Squat by Mech6 (stored in back of rack)
Tilt Top Reverse Hyper with roller attachment by Mech6 (also rack mountable)
    Bodysolid Dip rack
Legend 3136 pulldown and low row (assorted on magnetic hooks: MAG pieces, American Barbell push down, generics too)
Strive Seated Leg Extension/Lying Leg Curl Combo
    Bodysolid 45 degree hyper
    Rogue Abrahms 2.0 Glute Ham

    BARS
    Rogue Ohio Bar
    Crepinsek SSB
    Edge Fitness Combo Bar
    Kids 10lbs aluminum bar
    Spares, EZ Curl and assorted

    CARDIO
    Concept2 Model D with PM5
    Folding Treadmill (nothing special)

    MAJOR ACCESSORIES
    Monolifts by Mech6
Strap Safeties by Mech 6 (not in use currently but wanted to get them while I could)
    Rogue wall hanger
    Black Widow Swing in safeties
2nd set of J hooks and Rogue safeties for front of rack so multiple stations/people can train (2nd safeties are stored high on back of rack)
    Rogue 9 bar vertical storage

    NOTABLE MINOR STUFF
A lot of really nice sets of collars, easy to find, always there, quality stuff...no hunting.
Chalk bin that's been in use since the early/mid 1990s - maybe some original granules in there
Shoulder rehab/prehab setup that pins to rack in seconds (otherwise I'd never use it until I "had to" which I'm trying to avoid)
A few inspirational pictures from Ironmind my favorite of which has always been the "No...No...No" squat.
