    Genesis Deadlift Jack

    Has anyone seen this?
    https://www.genesisjack.com/shop/preorder

Curious what you guys think of the design. I have a normal deadlift jack. I prefer that design to this design, but there's a lot of pros to this one & it's less than a 1/4 of the price of the Rogue HD Bar Jack. Thoughts?

I literally just got a full deadlift jack from Rogue. Otherwise, I would definitely buy this. Hell, I still might depending on how annoying it is to move the full jack around.

I think the design looks pretty cool, but, most importantly, it looked easy to use and even easier to store.

looks nifty. is there any worry about aggressive knurling wearing out the uhmw with the way it's installed like that? i wouldn't normally figure uhmw wears out easily, but considering how much weight some people can deadlift i wonder if the solid patch of uhmw would hold up any differently?

I'm curious about it. The design is cringe worthy for those with wooden platforms. For the majority of us who don't have wood (hehe), it's a nice option.

No clue, but you can replace it. I don't think it's going to rotate much when using the device.
I wish they'd make a normal deadlift jack like this single design. I'd probably snap it up. My deadlift jack is always getting in the way. Mine has no knurling & hasn't damage my bar nor has it taken beating. It's closer to 15 years old, so anything made decently will last. I wouldn't be so concerned.

Yeah, it would probably eat into a wooden platform. I don't think it would be awful though. It would probably only bother people who don't actually use their equipment lol.

    ORDER CONFIRMED

I have a mini dl Jack and is tough to use when in my power rack using bands due to the distance it has to travel. Hoping this is
    better.

And fyi I have a wooden section in my rack this will be used on. Will see how it holds up. I made it so it swaps in and out for replacements overtime so not worried.

If I actually deadlifted crazy weight or I didn't already have the rogue mini jack, I'd be all on it. It looks like a very solid product.

Seems like an interesting idea. If it had been a kickstarter with a larger preorder perhaps making it cheaper both for the product and shipping I may have tried. But at $85 all in it seems pricey. I paid less for my full jack.

Not much less, I imagine. The Titan is $77, and I suspect the fit and finish of this would be nicer.

If you have the space for a full jack, then I think those will generally be preferable, but this seems to be a great option for people who don't have that space available.

looks very similar to a single aluminum jack i had once.

i dont like single jacks cause it does roll the bar to one side some.

that said i like the wide design base of this. looks like it works good

I was waiting on a real world review and saw that one yesterday so got it pre-ordered. I have a West Cary mini deadlift jack, which works well, but it moves the bar a pretty good distance. This looks like it'll work better for my small space. And it's much lighter so my wife will enjoy that. Pretty cool design! I generally hate buying "1st gen" products, but the pre-order lower price helped seal the deal.

Yep I have the bright red West Cary too.

I'm hoping the genesis does have a reduced travel distance. If I had the room for a full jack I would get one but I need to conserve space where I can.

I’ve got the West Carry single jack I use with my trap bar and I use a full sized Rogue jack for regular deadlift bars... the full sized jack is a PITA to store... due to its shape.

This is a really nice jack. I like that it’s truly portable.

My only concern is stability of the jack since it only has a base of 7”. I would have liked to see Brandon testing it a little more. It does look solid though.

*After watching the official demo video they did an awesome job displaying the jack in use. The Genesis jack does appear really stable while in use laterally and forward/aft.

I do like the design however, I have a basic one from BWTG that's serving its purpose. I guess I could see an advantage if I lifted in a public gym, as it does seem smaller. Price is good.

Amen. Without unlimited room it really does take some space. I love having it and my hand is finally healing to where I can pull decently again so it will see use but seeing this...my mind toys with going back to a mini, this version or otherwise.

I might someday go back but not anytime soon.

Back to a mini? Blasphemy. I swear profusely every time I walked past my full sized waiting in the corner of the garage for the day I have room for it once again.

I was going to pull the trigger on the Titan full DL jack. At $77 it seems like a no brainer, but Brandon in his review videos makes an excellent point on space being a preimium with garage gyms. And since i’m only working with half a two car garage that’s already pretty tight with a rack, GHB and reverse hyper, the room for a full jack might not be there. The genesis jack IMO is a better fit, easier to use and easier to transport. Especially for those who bring their own equipment on detachments and deployments. I was #133 when I placed my order on the 23rd. Hopefully the remaining 117 units sell quickly.

I'd be interested to hear how it holds up during loading and unloading. I've got the rogue mini, don't deadlift 1,000lbs and have a carpeted gym so I'm not sure this one would be an improvement or not. But I have noticed that the mini style jack can be a bit shaky laterally if you don't get it lined up just right or you slide the plates on hard.

This jack can lift a tank and no way there will be any stability issues. Everyone needs to buy one now. Trust me as I only want to get more sold to get mine sooner.

But if you watch Brandon's video as he loads up 1000 lbs there is a bit of wobble but no failure. Could be placement too.

Looks like the pre-order filled! Just saw the site was updated... I ordered one as well.

I have a full-size jack, but in a single-car car garage, space is a premium...so, gonna give this a shot.

As a side note, I feel like an idiot for not coming up with this design. Pretty cool how people can think outside the box and improve on an existing idea/concept. I hope the dude has a patent and makes a little money off this thing.

Can keep up with updates in their Instagram. They're doing a pretty good job being open about where they are and when to expect to start shipping which is late January.

Lol. Ain't that the truth. I'm pretty jazzed about this thing. Glad I got in on the pre-order pricing. Normal price + shipping seems a bit steep.

Yeah, I don't think I would have ordered it with out several other reviews on them at regular price + the shipping. I wonder if they thought about just shipping them out as a kit not assembled. Seems pretty simple to put together and would get them shipped out quicker. Take a few dollars off the top.

Hmm... watching the video again I like how close this can get to the sleeve. Like butt up to it. Trying to use a my current deadlift jack with block pulls sucks with to much travel and having to raise the jack up with a block under it. I bet I could use this right on the blocks I'm pulling from no fuss. Well, that's a hope anyway. Can't wait to try that out.

    Great point!

Right now my program has called for comp stance Deads & then snatchgrip off blocks. I usually set up a second bar on the blocks behind my platform & load it by hand since my full size jack can't do it. This little thing with maybe a 2x4 or something under it will make it a lot easier.

Saw Brandons video about this, but unfortunately AFTER the 25th, so was too late for the pre-order pricing. If I pay retail, I may as well wait for all of your to review it and potentially get a v2.0 product

I've seen DIY designs like this made out of wood. Here are a few examples, but the first one is what gave me a similar idea to do in a 2x4.

    1) This is the one I initially got a similar idea from: https://www.tapatalk.com/topic/19001-13702
