    Travel Tips

    I was just wondering:

    1) What do you guys do to stay in shape while you're travelling?

    2) Does anyone know of or use any good quality 'travel/portable' weight products?

    Thanks in advance!

If it's a short trip don't worry. You can get good results from working out twice a week, and if you are not on gear a 'bro' split over five days etc is a waste. So if you usually do fullbody workouts then you can arrange to workout on either side of your trip.

As I've got older I've realised my legs probably respond better to higher reps, than max weight (wish i'd figured this out sooner for my back's sake) so I try to do 3 or 4 sets of 50 reps, slow air squats. Sissy squats is a great way to hit the quads with just body weight. skipping or calf raises is good. High rep stiff legged deady's are good, you can hold your suitcase. So that's a high rep leg workout - one high rep workout wont kill you even if you like to lift heavy: go for the pump.

Bands are easy to pack, you can add them to make everything harder.

Pushups, handstand pushups does your chest and shoulders. Close grip to hit your triceps. Back is a lot harder to do, but you wont die if you skip one back workout. suspension gear is light and can help - I've taken a hook that attaches over a door and used that before: don't scratch the door though!

But probably the easiest thing is use the internet and check out the hotels gym, or any local gym nearby if you are away for an extended period.

    It depends.

If you're only going to be away for a couple of days to a week as a one-time thing, just take it as 'off' time.

But if you travel a lot, or will be away for several weeks, simply find a gym near where you're staying, pay 'day rate' and train as usual.

    2) Does anyone know of or use any good quality 'travel/portable' weight products?
No. Anything you can put a suitcase and carry with you isn't going to be of much benefit. Just find a gym.

    No brain, no gain.

"The fitness and nutrition world is a breeding ground for obsessive-compulsive behavior. The irony is that many of the things people worry about have no impact on results either way, and therefore aren't worth an ounce of concern."--Alan Aragon

If I'm driving I'll take a 60 lb kettle bell. There aren't too many hotels that have a decent gym, but I know of a few-- one I frequent has a cable machine that I'd love to have at my house. I try and do a lot of body squats and push ups, and I walk the town.

Hey there! Staying in shape while traveling can be a challenge, but it's all about finding what works best for you. Some swear by bodyweight exercises like squats, lunges, and push-ups that require no equipment at all, while others opt for portable fitness gear like resistance bands or collapsible dumbbells. As for travel-friendly weight products, there are some fantastic options out there designed specifically for on-the-go workouts. From compact kettlebells to adjustable dumbbells that pack easily in your luggage, you'll find plenty of options to keep your fitness routine on track no matter where your adventures take you. Happy travels and stay active!

It can be tricky, but it's totally doable with some prep. Portable gear like resistance bands and jump ropes are great because they barely take up any space in your bag. You can also stick to bodyweight routines like push-ups, sit-ups, and squats that don't require any equipment. Also, if you need travel deals, then check cheapflights reviews to find good prices on flights. This can help make your trip planning a bit easier and more affordable!
