Awesome, on spread. Love how you have the barbell rack framed so it looks like art.

Rich, your home gym looks epic! The framed "Trophy" bars look great! How do you like the Legend Pro Series 3-Way bench in comparison to the Legend 3-Way bench? The standard 3-Way bench is such a tank, I couldn't even imagine what the Pro version is like.

Thank's, I hadn't thought of it that way, but I suppose if you total up the cost of the bars in the frame, it's got to be the most expensive piece of art I'm ever likely to own.

    Also on spread.

Thank you, I'm very happy with the gym. The Legend benches are very different, the Pro series is just a beast, I leave it docked in my half rack, it's the size of an aircraft carrier. Frame wise you won't find anything more solid than the 3 way bench, but where the difference is obvious is in the firmness of the padding and the quality of the vinyl, the Pro bench padding is much firmer and as you'd expect from a more expensive bench the vinyl appears to be more heavy duty.

The other significant difference is that the Pro bench is lower, I think it's about an inch Lower, as I primarily use it in the rack for bench press, for me this is an advantage. If I had to pick only one bench, for use in the rack and around the gym, then it would be the 3 way, the Pro is just too bulky and heavy for everyday use. Also on spread with you, as I always seem to be with the vast majority of the regulars.

Than'k's, also on spread. It was an unintentional piece of artwork, I suppose if you add up the cost of the bars, it must be valuable.

The equipment is very high quality, the wall storage is great, it looks to be a nice and bright space but whenever I see the same 'ol black stain enhancing (impossible to keep clean) rubber floors with seams I shake my head a little. It negatively affects the whole feeling of the room.

Long term home gyms get nicer and the equipment is always improving in quality but the flooring seems forever stuck at the horse stall level. Home gym flooring needs a revolution. /rant (nothing personal, just a generic rant at the state of affairs. "I'm not a horse!")

You all have such nice gyms man I'm blown away! I'm just starting my home gym set-up really, and I cant wait to get on some of your guy's level. I really hadn't been planning on a home gym at all, but my wife got my the best bday present ever that started my gym. She got me a Titan X2 Short Rack, and from there I've picked up a couple more things. I'll try to post some pictures of my growing set-up after Christmas when I have a weight tree, and more goodies to show lol. Y'all are seriously inspiring me to grow my gym though.

Not posting often, but been reading this thread (and the old one) for a while... it's beed a source of inspiration for my own basement gym. I think I can play!

Not enough posts count, so someone will need to post pics for me.

It all started in 2010, when I left the commercial gym and installed a used rack in my home office:
    Attachment 8813271
    Attachment 8813281

I upgraded/flip a lot of equipment... not posting every stage... Kijiji is my gym buddy!

    2014 stage:
    Attachment 8813291

switched to a larger room in the basement in 2016/2017:
    Attachment 8813301

To its current stage... with my 2017 "from-me-to-me gift"...a new rack!
    Attachment 8813311
    Attachment 8813321

Like most of you, I still have some items that I want to improve.... it's never over!

I changed the photobucket links to picture attachments in my original post. There is so much adds on photobucket now, it's almost unusable!

She got me a Titan X2 Short Rack, and from there I've picked up a couple more things. I'll try to post some pictures of my growing set-up after Christmas when I have a weight tree, and more goodies to show lol. Y'all are seriously inspiring me to grow my gym though.
What you are seeing often happens over a long period of time - the end result of a process. Most of us seem to have started with rack/bar/weight or at least a more minimal setup and expanded from there. I started with similar (weight tree, bumpers, dip rack) as a "supplement" to my main gym given family, work and work travel schedules etc...Pretty soon I realized I was never going to the gym anymore. Next came a reverse hyper due to back issues, then dumbbells, then a rower, then GHD...more upgrades, moved houses with more space and have added/upgraded from there. Once you have your basics you can sit tight and wait for what you want vs. something that's an essential/need.

As people have mentioned the barbell frame looks great! Are those Watson dumbbells in the back?!

Amazing gym! I can’t wait to see more pictures of it! How do you like those dumbbells? A lot of people think that they are the best dumbbells in the world! Do you have the fat revolving handles? From the picture they look gorgeous!

Very nice, like the little details; use of the slot wall on the right. And the gun rack on the back. Do you lift alone usually?
Please record my time/reps if I pass out

Thank you for the kind words, I didn't go with the 2" revolving handles, I chose the 35mm fixed version. I have them from 4kg to 30kg on a Watson rack and I have 32.5kg and 35kg on the low rack in the corner. They're a quality product and certainly the best dumbbells that I've used. I do have a pair of Watson loadable db handles with 2" revolving handles, they're nice to add some variety, but I'm not sure I'd want 2" revolving handles on my primary dumbbells set.

Hopefully here is a better picture of the dumbbells on the main rack.

Thank you, it's been 20 years in the making, I think I may have finally got everything in place, but a home gym is an evolutionary thing.

I primarily lift on my own, but two family members and a buddy also use the gym and I sometimes work in the odd set or two when they're lifting.
