Being Harrassed over the smell of my egg whites

Hi Everyone,
I hope I can get some healthy mature advice here. I am in night school for massage therapy. I have been a nurse for 20 years and want to expand my career. Since I compete I eat every 2-3 hours always. I am looking to compete in the Srping again so we all know how important food prep is. Well I bring my food everywhere and eat when I need to eat. During class I went to heat up my food yesterday morning in the microwave and one of the adult students rudely said to me "Are those eggs? I am going to have to ask you not to eat your eggs cuz I can't stand the smell of them. I am going to throw up." I nicely told her I need to eat and she rudely asked if I could eat downstairs and so I did. This is the second time she has been rude and did not sit at my table and made faces at me as she moved away from my food. She would not return until I was done eating and made rude comments about my food. I am tired of being harrassed over my food. I have 6 more months of dealing with her. She obviously does not like me since she ignores me all the time. I don't want to be a tattle tale and tell the teacher and this is ridiculous that, as and adult, I have to deat with this. I have a strong feeling this is going to continue but I need to eat!! Any good solid mature advice would be greatly appreciate.

Keep eating what you want. Unless she has a serious food allergy, it's not her place to tell you where you can eat. If it really bothered her, she could have politely spoken to you about it. I'd probably bring in some sardines next time to go along with the egg whites...

After school of course. But if she doesn't put an end to it somehow the girl will think she can keep getting away with it. Some real sharp words or a nice hook will shut her up fast....

If she says anything again you should remind her that it's a shared space. Politely inform her she has to respect that it isn't your problem she doesn't like the smell. It's her problem, and if she feels the need to excuse herself to eat downstairs, she is free to do so.

Btw, in my shared living situation I get harassed about the smell of my egg whites too.

Yes I can stand up to myself so maybe I will think up some nice (or not so nice) stuff to say to her and maybe she will leave my food alone!

Seriously why can't I ever been in community with people who are healthy and eat good food! Every job I have ever had is full of unhealthy people! Even nurses are the worse sometimes! They are suppose to promote health and they bring in their canned soda at 7:00 am!! Then I eat every 2-3 hours and I get strange looks. I have to hide eating sometimes and hide what I do and how I look cuz nobody understands. Just stinks!!!
