Kevin Levrone Commits to the 2018 Arnold Australia

    As per his Instagram:

    https://www.instagram.com/p/BcHmvJNH...y=kevinlevrone

"My starting point as I’m looking now. 15 weeks to go till show @arnoldsportsau my body weight is 245lbs right now. I’ve been cleaning out for the last 6 weeks before we start final show prep. So I’ve got some growing to do. My goal is to be onstage at 244 lbs with size shape symmetry. 2016 Olympia i was 222 lbs no legs no back due to time off and knee injuries, well that’s in the pass over and done with. Mark my words I will be better. My goal is to look better then I did at my last showing in 2016. If God’s willing and I can bring 80% of The Maryland Muscle Machine then it’s on baby."

We’ll see how it will work out this time.

At least he admits that he had no legs/back. Respect...

That line concerns me. We'll see, I'm hopeful for him but I see him backing out last minute saying he was only "70%" or something, lol.

Without injuries, Levrone is capable of achieving close to his old form again. Don't be surprised if he wins then goes on a roll and knocks off a few more shows. I guarantee a few of the young guns are double checking their prep now that know Levrone is competing. The old guard will be taking its rightful place.

I tell you why, because he does not know, like most of humans, that cells are listening... for the mass collective would take about 100 years to become fully aware of this, but I am telling you now, for those who are open to receive. Namaste and have a blast

I know there are a lot of detractors and haters of Levrone in this forum. I think its clear that he's going to show us what "old school" training and dieting does. People forget he had injuries leading to the Olympia. You subtract those injuries and he's EASILY top 10 if not top 5. People in this sub will be throwing their praise and respect once he mops up the competition at the Arnold.

I loved Levrone when he was competing 25 years ago. I know how Ive aged over time and he isnt any different. Joe Montana was great as well, the fact that he could still throw a couple of completions in a game today doesnt mean he could last 4 quarters. Same with Kevin.

That isn't really an accurate discription. Keep in mind, Joe Montana played during the "rough and tumble" era and would often take contact and get injured. His career was plagued by injuries. The QB's of today like Brady, Manning etc. may end up playing until their mid 50s due to taking less contact and taking better care of their bodies. Joe would likely still be in the league had he played with today's rules.

Kevin in bodybuilding has even more of an advantage. He can use supplements that NFLers can't. Kevin's body is also RESTED. He hasn't "PLAYED" 15 straight seasons like some NFLers. While Kevin's numerical age is "older," his biological is still in his PRIME. Don't be surprised once Kevin gets in the MMM form and wipes up for a few seasons. I can guarantee he's looking at the Olympia again. Give Kevin a full off season with no injuries, and its ANYONE'S bet how high he can go. His ceiling has no limit even 25 years after his "heyday."

Kevin wins if he does bring up his Back and Legs. That means he has progressed. So what if he doesn't win a trophy or a placing. He wins by improving and being a positive example. At least to the people who have realistic expectations of a former champion.

He is a master at building his brand.

I'm sorry, it just doesnt work like that. How old are you? When I was in my late 30s I could hang out in the Gym with Rangers and Operators a decade younger me. I cant do that now, and I'm younger than Kevin - and not competing professionally either.

Your disbelief that men age makes me wonder.

If he does compete and it's a big if, I think he will be better than his 2016 form but I don't think he'll be even close to his prime. The body ages, the back and legs weren't the only issues at the Mr.Olympia. His "pop" is gone, his abs have melted, his skin looks like old leather. It's done; he knows and every reasonable person out there knows it. Prior to the 2016 Olympia there was hope since nobody knew how he had aged but now we know. He has absolutely no chance against Ramy, Wolf and Sergio Jr. If he doesn't place last I would consider that a victory.

Look at this pic, his upper body looks to have a similar level of size that he had in 1994 where he placed 3rd (not his biggest but still quite an achievement). Just look at the difference in the skin, the midsection, the forearms, and the way the whole physique flows. He can't turn back the clock on that.

Never met him don't know him. It's not about being a hater, it's about common sense. He very likely isn't any less injured now than before. He always talks he is going to do this, do that, it doesn't happen and he digs out a couple of excuses from a laundry list.

Age waits for no one. If he shows, and that's a massive if, he'll be 16th as usual. Been negged many times on here by the nuthuggers, idgaf. He needs to be told it's over, get on with your life.

The 2016 picture you chose certainly isn't a fair comparison. There is a clear lighting difference between the two pictures. His legs were down from injuries. I fully expect them to be back up to "pro" level by the time he competes again. People forget that he now has a full off season to get prepared for the show. While he says this will be his last show, I expect him to go on a solid run after it.

Age waits for no one. If he shows, and that's a massive if, he'll be 16th as usual. Been negged many times on here by the nuthuggers, idgaf. He needs to be told it's over, get on with your life.
The haters were quick to say he was going to pull out of the Olympia. Despite the fact he had injuries, he still competed. He did it for the fans, yet still got a lot of hate. I can't wait to see youll's faces when he hits the stage after a full off season of no injuries.

lineup for the Australian Open. Pretty competitive, Kevin placing top 10 is going to be difficult and top 6 would be nothing short of a miracle.

Looking better than 2016 which is what his goal is from what I've seen is entirely doable though.

Don't remember anyone saying he was going to pull out, just that he wasn't going to look very good. He was struggling to half squat 3 plates and yet his nuthuggers were promising his legs would be back to their old form.

I was a big fan of Yates, but no way would I want him to come back. Just remember how good they were, what they achieved, and move on.

don't get offended if I'm wrong, but I'm fairly certain you're one of those band wagon Levrone fans. the only possible way you could think his legs will even remotely come close to what's needed to even be a competitor at the pro level is if you don't follow the sport at all.
sh*t how long has Vic been trying to make his comeback for? legs are the first to go. it happens with them all.

You know he won't show them other than cropped pics or weird angles. He will try and ride the attention and build hype. I think this is really just to promote himself and his supp line, firstly.

The MMM looking good! He is going to finish a respectable place at the competition. Since he is known for his last week changes, it wouldn't surprise me if we see a sick finished product on stage.
