Just watched the Uchiage Hanabi movie.
Took a bit to understand how the plot was as the context wasn't there.

I thought the story was alright once I understood it, but the animation when they decided to use CG for characters/some scenes was pretty bad as they were long scenes, not just quick moments.
Character development was rather poor for such a story, and I did not enjoy the ending as it was open ended......

I would have liked to actually see it at the end.
As far as the 2D animation, it is beautiful, both character and background, considering this was done by Shaft.
