Depends on your body weight really. Could be anywhere from 225 to 400 pounds. Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Turned 15 last month. Bodyweight is 74kg at 14% body fat. Bench is 80kg for 5 reps.
I dont have a spotter so i cant max out safely in my workouts and i think that might be slowing progress.

Edit: I should add- the reps are done slowly and with full extension, not relying on the muscles natural inclination to spring back up, and not just doing a partial rep.

Ok, so you have just under a years’ time in which to make progress. You are at the age where gains can come swiftly. I’m not going to lecture you on technique without a video of your lifting, but research proper form and apply it. I would guess you can push about 100-105 as a max right now. I think 130 kilos is a good goal to shoot for in 11 months. That would be a very respectable bench press for someone your size. Don’t be afraid to put on some weight through consuming more calories. You’re a teenager you should be growing like a weed.

Your goal for 16 is to lift more than you could at 15

Your goal for 17 is to lift more than you could at 16

Consistency will make you beast in your college years, getting hurt trying to set 1RM during your prime growing years will not.

Are you playing sports or only interested in your bench? Lifts like squat, deadlift and powerclean are going to help you develop power and athleticism.

80kg x 5 is already good for 15 years old. You don't need to max out to build strength, just keep working in that rep range.

If you just care about looking good then why worry about how much ya bench dot com? Bragging rights? Just say you bench tree fiddy and show off the chicken breast.

You're in the wrong forum for this kind of advice.

But if you want advice I would suggest forget about aesthetics, find a program like madcows, eat sensibly, and you'll achieve strength and the good looks you're looking for.
