Umm.... starting weight is supposed to be 25th-26th of November and first weigh in 1st of December. One week between. There was typo though, which I fixed. I just created this thread in advance to maybe allow more people to see this before the actual starting weigh in.

Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

In! Going to be a tough couple months because it's summer and beach season, coupled with holidays I'll do the best I can!

Failing miserably on current challenge with an unrealistic goal so going to try and be more realistic for this one.

Yeah I messed up exact same way. Unrealistic goal. I'll try to be more realistic this go around and just set a goal based on my current weight loss rate.

Exactly what I was thinking. I'm probably going to pick a rather moderate goal, simply due to Christmas. I'll be on vacation the whole Christmas week and I think I'm going take a break from dieting that week.

I'm in. I want to be positive but I'm currently feeling drained. Started at 271 back in late March and after 52 pounds and 8 months I'm ready for a bit of a break. Unfortunately I still have 40+ lbs to go so this round is still a must. holidays in the middle will make it even more difficult.

I'm in. Been cutting since October but still have 10-15 pounds to go or so. It's good to have some type of accountability.

Started on October 12th at 193 pounds. Last Friday I hit a low of 174.6. I only weigh myself once a week and the next one is tomorrow morning so I don't know if I've made any progress this week yet. Don't have a goal weight is up in the air because I want to get down to a legit 8% body fat, if I have to go down to 155 to get there then I will. Hopefully it won't come down to that though lol. Right now I'm probably around 12%

Back on the cutting wagon, so I'll be in here. Last 50 pounds earlier this year (229 to 179) and have spent the last 3 months bulking, so back up to about 193 today but still approx. 14-15% BF (will weigh in officially tomorrow).
The aim this time is just to get the mini cut in, lose 10 lbs or so in the next 5 weeks, then spend the rest of the duration of this thread reverse dieting, slowly increasing my calorie intake so I'm back up to about 3,000 maintenance and then get back on an even leaner longer bulk after that.

The accountability of this thread helps no end, and is definitely a source of motivation and inspiration for everybody (especially with Christmas - yikes!)

Get ready for the road ahead team, it's going to be a fun one.

And be sure to stick to it this time. I'm in the same boat but as someone pointed out earlier we ain't getting any younger so might as well stick with it this time! I don't wanna be in my 50s and having to go through this massive cutting cycle. Never again!

I dont either so this will be the last time. But this time will take a lot longer to do. I cant do cardio like I was before.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

We both have been users here for a long time, every time I say this is it, I fail.....I dunno why, its a cycle. I lose weight, I feel great I start not caring about my habits any longer......I know I shouldn't but thats what happens...

Yeah... I have always thought that but never really SAID it. So I'm hopeful this time, I'm also older and I'd like to think more mature, but only time will tell.

So previous challenge ended and my last weigh in was 242,3 lbs. That will be my starting weight in this challenge. I set the goal to 232. There is some distractions like like that one week Christmas vacation, but 10 lbs should still be doable. Lets see what happens...
