Thank you!! I don't know why I try to weigh myself when I'm on nights, I woke up and didnt even think, let the dogs out and made breakfast, showered, chugged about 1/4 gallon of water lol...the weigh in was solid, down like 1.4 lbs but I'd prefer to be on an empty stomach for consistency....I know it won't make that much difference but, might as well keep it consistent.

I was ~213 yesterday and for some reason I woke up 207.8 this morning.. I've never had it drop so fast... so next Friday's weigh-in will be awesome, lol. I got a DXA scan today and there was some good news:
In exactly 8 weeks my weight went from 228.6 to 207.8, my BF% went from 33.8% to 27.4%. I lost 20.4 lbs of fat. I gained 0.2 lbs of bone density (probably because I started taking calcium supplements again - normally don't get any [lactose intolerant] or maybe weight training promoted bone density) I gained 0.7 lbs of muscle in my upper body but lost 1.3 lbs of muscle in my legs. My squats have been very light because I want to perfect my form so that would explain why I lost that muscle. I am going to make another appointment in 9 more weeks and I hope I get similar results!
Does anyone else get DXA scans? I never did until November but I am really digging getting an exact breakdown of my training/diet results.Last edited by Letram; 12-30-2017 at 09:01 PM.

It’s moving in the right direction I really have no complaints. 15 lbs in a month is fantastic
Not bad considering my crazy schedule and the holidays. I’ll take it.Last edited by Hanger; 12-31-2017 at 09:37 AM.

Hi everyone, I guess I'm late... I'll just share my rise and fall story then.
I remember the first time I joined this forum in 2014, I was 205 lbs of fat. I made it to my lowest point (160.9) lbs in December 2015 with strong motivation, determination, and a thread like this.
In 2016 I started to work 80hrs/week as a corporate lawyer and lost track of everything. I didn't even have a personal life. Pizza was my best friend (again) to relieve stress at that time, consumed on daily basis.
With that kind of unhealthy lifestyle, I bounced back to +/- 180 lbs.
Friends who saw my previous glory were disappointed in me. They were like, "Dude, you were my motivation, now look at you".
I was ashamed of myself. All my motivation, determination, gone! It was all my fault. I couldn't pull myself together, but I blamed my job.
I changed career 3 months ago and have much more free time. I told that guy in the mirror, "You ran out of excuses."
And here I am now, 176 lbs, back with the same motivation and determination as the first time I joined this forum. Looking back at the glory of the past, I am sure I will make it back to 160 lbs. I will work on my body twice as hard.
Greetings from Indonesia. Looking forward to join the next thread.=======================

Starting weight: 196,5lbs
Goal weight: 187lbs
Final weight: --lbs
Total loss: 0,5lbs
Weekly average: 0,1lbs/week
Week 1: Friday 1st December: 194,2lbs -2,3lbs Pretty good week, been a while since I was able to be this consistent through the weekend and the higher rate of weight loss reflects it.
Week 2: Friday 8th December: 193,6lbs -0,6lbs Not great progress but still progress. Last weekend wasn't as clean, planning for this one to be.
Week 3: Friday 15th December: 191,2lbs -2,4lbs Good week, had a couple days where I had a few beers but I fit them in my macros and it worked.
Week 4: Friday 22nd December: 191,4lbs +0,2lbs well I did go off diet last weekend, but stayed true throughout the week. I foresee I won't be able to lose much for the next couple weeks because of the holidays but I'll stay on track other than festivities.
Week 5: Friday 29th December:196lbs +4,6lbs Obviously pretty bad week with holidays and such, almost back where I started but I usually gain about 3-4lbs water weight after a cheat day so who knows how much I gained after a cheat week lol, plus I usually have the weekdays to get that water weight off before the weigh in on Fridays... Anyway, probably stayed the same bodyfat wise or gained very little, going back dieting today and let's see how much I can bounce back by Friday.

Sign me up. I'll post my first weigh in and target on Friday after I've lost the Christmas water weight.

Ugh, I for one am SO GLAD the holidays are over. Thanksgiving + Christmas + New Years (and negative double digit weather) have added significant stress to my current cut. Yeah yeah yeah, the time spent with family/friends was great and all... but I am definitely ready to cut without the added distractions and difficulties.
I overbulked last year and was chubby for summer... never happening again.
