16 years old 545lbs RAW squat @200lbs

Hey guys! My question is: Is a 545lbs squat in knee sleeves and 500lbs without knee sleeves (both in belt) (also below parallel) uncommon (or rare) for a 16 year old natural male weighing 200lbs. I am thinking about competing and wondering where would I place. Thanks for replies in advance.

In the teenage age group, you'd probably place 1st of 1 at a local meet. In the open age group, it depends on the meet. Could be last or first. Don't worry about being the best at your first meet. If everyone did that, then nobody would ever sign up.

Ok, thanks for your reply. What is the age range in the teenage group. I live in Slovakia and there is really not that much powerlifting going on here so my knowledge about meets is limited to the internet.

Depends on the federation, but I think theres typically 3 teenage groups. 13-15, 16-17, and 18-19. I could be wrong, but its split something like that.

The IPF world record in the 93kg Sub Junior class is 264.5kg / 583lbs. And that was by an 18 year old lifter.

So it would quite literally be competitive at world level.

Oh wow. That is insane. Thats like only a couple kg/lbs. Is that done in knee wrap? Or do they allow them?

IPF is knee sleeves and a belt only.

IPF is drug tested. If you are approaching or setting records, expect to pee in the cup.

Id also like to ask if the sub junior category includes 18 (from 18 all the way until the day you turn 19) or only until the day you turn 18. Thanks for the replies!

Man just go compete. Read this sticky:

Find the fed you want to compete in USPA, USAPL, SPF, WABDL, whatever etc.

Get their rule book and read through it to make sure you can lift to their requirements.

Pay their membership dues and sign up for a meet.

Check out the the IG. He states he could do 5. Thats a 1RM a little over 500lbs in a bad belt.
