I used to have a company that shipped a lot within WA, trust me, Auspost ****ed that up too. I had a $2400 order that I had delivered to Melville and it disappeared. Had insurance too and it still took 6 months to get the coin out of Auspost. They're complete spastics
[edit] but what's surprising is Startrack are actually very very good, and they're an Auspost owned company and use a lot of the same infrastructureDreamer bulk progress: 75.1kg/165lbs 21st Jan 2018 > 94.7kg/208.8lbs 14th September 2018

Well the news is real. Amazon has decided to play hardball with the government and the net result is the consumer loses.
I'm happy to buy locally when I'm not being bent over and reamed too hard on price but there are a lot of things you can't even get here so logically the first thing a consumer will do is fire up a US website and start ordering. July 1 that's not going to happen with Amazon. You'll be redirected to their .au site with a smaller range and higher markup. VPN + forwarding service would get around it but probably too much of a hassle for most not to mention it'll get slugged on the way in.
I can live without Amazon but my concern is other big online stores following suit.
Of course this could all backfire on Turnbull and co. since the same online shoppers being inconvenienced also happen to vote in this country so if the opposition decides to run with it as a policy "listen up you farkin cawk pullers vote for us and we'll bloody roll the cnt of a thing back" it could be interesting.

yeah our whole political climate is really weird at the moment but I don't think that maggot shorten would have the balls to actually come out with a policy other than the opposite to the libs
