Unhappy First week cutting, no weight loss :(

    Hi guys,

Long story short this is my first week cutting after a layoff about a year, before the layoff i had decent LBM and about 10-12% bodyfat.

Im no beginner to fat loss, previously i lost 35 lbs @ 1lbs per week consistently with minimal strength loss

im eating 2100 cals + on the EC stack working out at 4x a week weight training.

    My stats:

206 lbs ( according to todays weight)

    5 ft 11

    maint around 2700 (apparently)

Should i bump it down to 1900 calories? or 2000? I weigh out my calories by kitchen scale, and any food i eat outside that have calories i add around 50-100 extra calories( no junk just stuff like sandwhiches and pasta in pots etc)

I hope its just water weight...or the scale is broken xD

I dont think i could be gaining my past muscle memory back because i havent noticed much strength gains as im cutting.

Try to be more patient. Wait couple of more weeks before making any adjustments.

You've gone 7 days with a 600 p/day deficit (2700/2100 as your post states) and have not seen the scale move downward at all?

You can hold water and gain weight for a solid 4 weeks, being in a deficit does not ensure your SCALE weight will go down, especially linearly. Its not like if you are in a 500 calorie deficit you see exactly 1/7th of a lb loss every day.
There is always someone less fortunate, with real hunger, with real adversity, who made something of themselves. What is your excuse?

One week is too short of a time to start trying to change course. How are you tracking your caloric intake? Weighing all food when possible?

I would stick with it for a couple more weeks. Your body fluctuates quite a bit day to day on its own too so one week of tracking is not enough to say that you're not losing fat.
They said she's gone too far this time

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

    Smile

Thanks for the replies everyone this gives me some encouragement.

@JackMan017 - scale has not moved at all, i was atleast expecting SOME water to go down especially on the EC stack considering i was pissing like 12 times a day on this lol

@Serpentarius - Okay man thanks for the encouragement, i think my body just must be in shock because i jamp right into the deep end in the beginning.

@TrinnieBuu - I weigh all my foods and only eat foods that have a nutrtion label, and i log them in a book as i go. Heck i even weigh my protein powder because it turns out 1 scoop isnt really the weight it says on the tub, its usually under :P

So ill give it a few weeks to see if theres any changes, i'll report back with some updates.

I will be starting SNS Reduce XT in case cortisol is the issue!

I recently started a cut too, been a slow start but keep going, just got to keep doing what you’re doing and not slip up or become demotivated. After a few weeks you’ll really start to notice a difference.

I’d say try not to be so obsessive over counting calories to the exact measurement - you’ll still notice a difference and not go crazy doing it

I've cut 130 plus pounds and there will be periods I don't loose for a few weeks and then drop 5 plus pounds over night. Just be patient. Wait another week then reevaluate your diet and training.
