    Craigslist powerblock prices?

Dicks sporting goods is having a 20% sale off powerblocks today only and I'm tempted to buy the elites. The elites 5-50lb sell for $299.99 at Dicks. Amazon does always have the personal trainer set 5-50lb for $229.99. I've noticed everyone here says to buy the U-90s which I'd probably agree with for durability and the longer warranty. Dicks doesn't sell the U-90s though. What are the prices you have paid for any 1-2yr old powerblocks at the time off of craigslist? I want to know how much savings I'd get and if its worth the wait.

I'm currently selling the XXL Urethane set, 5-127 pounds with stand for $600. I see used sets of the U-90's with stand go for $375 in my area. They don't come up often though, and sell fast.

U-90s that come with 90lbs or 50lbs? What you are selling for isn't a bad deal. Around my area the most weight I see are 3 people selling 90lb powerblocks. One elite is selling for $530, other elite is $475 and last U-90 is $500.

Depends where you live. I usually sell between $400-450 all day for pro rexans (85#). Just gotta be quick on the snipe when someone else sells below $300.

No, I haven't used them before. The shape looks okay, I know having all those bars in the way will make a couple exercises not able to be done. One of the reasons I like them are the ends are flat so I can lay them on my thigh when seated on a bench. I think the ironmasters would be a little uncomfortable because the circular end doesn't look wide enough to lay comfortable on your thigh. I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone talk about that, I guess it isn't an issue.

So you end up flipping them? I just found out about craigslist alerts, so I set them up, I should be good.

U90s are rare in my neck of the woods, but the one time I saw them pop up, they sold for $450 with the stand.

It's not an issue. Both PBs and Ironmasters are phenomenal sets. I slightly prefer the Urethane PBs after trying both due to their contoured handle shape. It just centers in the hand better and feels more comfortable in use.

I got my 130lb powerblock aluminum pro's with a few broken pieces for $250.
Had to get the pins for the 100-130lb, which were missing, for $30. It was the best deal I've gotten on CL hunting.

What was broken? I decided not to get them from Dicks, with tax it would of came out to $256. The only good thing is I would get a warranty. I think the best PB set to buy would be Urethane incase I accidentally drop them.

The pin to lock in the adder weights was broken on one of the handles.
But I found that unless i'm doing the lowest weights (10-17.5), it is not necessary.

My area is a notoriously bad place to be a seller of higher end weight equipment. It does however drive prices down for buyers. So, yes, I've seen the U-90's listed for just $375. Though I really can't vouch for their condition.

I live down the road (OK, a few miles) from Paulie_G. There is very little good equipment sold in this area. And very few people want good equipment. I guess that is one reason Tennessee has such a high rate of obesity.

With such a bad market, prices are often ridiculously low here. I just bought a set of Pro Rexan 85s for $175. They were originally offered at $225, but there were no takers. When the price dropped, I just had to buy. Other than the paint being chipped, they were in good shape. I paid $30 for my Aluminum Pro 90 PBs. I had to replace the pins, but I have only $60 in them total.
