High Protein bar, but no sugar alcohol, malitol,etc..

    Hey all,
Looking for good high-protein bar, but I have "issues", gas and bloating in particular, with bars like the quest or kirkland with sugar alcohol.

Any suggestions for a half healthy bar that has good amount of protein?

Have you tried the snap protein bars? They're pretty good but do have 2g of sugar alcohol.

Otherwise cake bites are a good option too.

Beef jerky. Good brands of beef jerky shouldn't have any of the ingredients you mention and is high in protein.

I'd roll with ^^^^this if I were looking for a portable, quick protein snack rather than any of those glorified candy bars masking as something they aren't.

You could just bake your own protein snacks. Lots of recipes floating around here on the forum.

You can use an oven if you don’t already have a dehydrator. I make deer jerky using wire racks for cooling baked goods that way.

Wife found some Chef's cut turkey jerkyat Trader's Joes. I think 7 grams of protein 60 calories.

    Also,
Tried Cake Bites. Chocolate Mint. These things are damn good.

    Also,
Was in Sprouts. Picked up a few Genuine Health Fermented Vegan proteins. 210 calories, 14 gramsm protein. Not as tasty as Cake Bites, but I had zero gas or bloating with it, so quite happy with this type of bar as well.
