best option is for miscers is to organize themselves and join a REAL guild with real leadership. that way you can still be with your misc bros, while being in a guild that can actually accomplish something other than unfunny memes.

btw I figure this is like a WoW meta thread: has anyone played since 7.3.5 dropped? Leveling is so ****ing good now. Even in heirlooms you can die if you pull like 4 mobs, and it took one of my groups like 40+ min to clear Shadowfang Keep. Somebody aggro'd a pack of zombies in the courtyard and we actually wiped.

It's great because it highlights everyone's lack of skill. You got dps randomly aggro'ing stuff because they think it can be burned down. You got tanks taking tons of damage, people not interrupting the right spells, or lack of cleave. Did a Zul Farrak run and our tank kept fukin moving the mobs around and aggro'ing chit because "I gotta move away to charge stun". Then he gets pissed when I give him advice. Took us like 10 minutes to reach a boss tho which was cool.

Imagine that, the game is more fun when it's a challenge. Took blizz like 10 years but they finally fixed leveling.

I'm running a new priest through legion now, mainly just to do all the old dungeons and do new zones that I've never done. It's ok. I'll admit that the animations and story are way better than vanilla, but it still lacks the magic that it used to have.

There's just nothing exciting about gearing or progression anymore . I swear, the beauty of classic is the attachment you had to your character + an actual community. It felt like an extension of you because you went through STV and back to get to lvl 60 and you made friends along the way. Every LFD I've done so far, not a single person has responded to me. Feels lonely man

The only thing fun about Legion was the leveling and storytelling. The core gameplay sucked dick.

The only news I saw was that in late March they announced the development team was assembled. Probably won't get anything else until after BfA releases

Pretty excited for vanilla servers. I've only played WoW back in the day for a few weeks before stopping, but I've been itching to play. I hate jumping back into old MMOs though where I'm already WAY behind on gear and whatnot. It'll be nice because everyone will start from scratch. I have a huge amount of friends that played WoW for years back in the day that are also eager to jump back into vanilla. A shame it wont be for long while it looks like.

Look at this time as an opportunity to get your **** together regarding real life stuff (career, education, fitness, etc.). Work hard so that you can play hard. Get some certifications out of the way, make your physique the best it ever has, get your finances figured out, so that you can get a little crazy and indulge in Vanilla WoW (I'm also looking towards Red Dead Redemption 2, so I like to associate that with my motives as well).

I know for a fact I'll allocate some vacation days / PTO towards Vanilla WoW when it launches.

Already got the go-ahead for 2 weeks off when it releases. Plus I kinda work for myself (Dad's company, but I run my own crew at the moment) so I could really push for a month off. With so much time ahead I'm sure I can pull it off. I REALLY wanted to be one of the guys pushing world first lvl 60, but I kinda gave up on that as a bunch of guys (it'll probably be Sodapoppin lul) will be streaming non-stop with no sleep - I want to enjoy it with a level head and my body just can't pull all-nighters anymore without feeling like death.
