Hello all!
Long story short. Two days ago I was released from hospital after the second bout of Rhabdomyolysis. The first one I had 18 months ago after the first day at gym for the first time. The second one that happened to me last week was also after the first day at the gym after being off for about 18 months (right when I had my first Rhabdo). I'm not a very athletic person but I managed to maintain a jogging schedule (3-4 time a week) for the last 5 months. So my body is used to light cardio activities.
My first Rhabdo hit me in the arms. I didn't lift much weight back then; but I gotta say that my workouts were focused on my arms.
The second one was in my left and right chest muscles; this time, likewise, my workout was focused on the chest area (Butterfly, Bench-press, Seated Machine Chest Press). In both cases, there was no heavy lifting.
Now I am extremely afraid to go back gymming! Any advice or recommendations are very welcome by people who already experienced the same situation or those who know how to overcome this in both mental and physical way.
Have a prosperous and health training!

This is a serious medical condition. Go and see a doctor first before starting your session.

Can you go into greater detail what the kind of session/programming you were doing for the two workouts that landed you in the hospital? Sets/reps/duration and weight lifted?
