6 months of vigorous training... little to no gains

    Hello,

I am a 6’2” male of 19 years old and I weigh 154 pounds. I began lifting in may of this year for the first time in my life. I saw decent beginner gains in the first 2 months and managed to gain about 10 pounds from 142 to 152. This motivated me to train even harder. I trained between 1 to 2 hours 6 days a week and ate between 4 to 5 thousand calories a day. I supplemented with protein powder, creatine, and BCAAS. I get about 8-10 hours a sleep per night. It seems as if I have done every thing right, but 6 months later I have only gained a total of 12 pounds, 2 of those pounds took 4 months to gain. Has anyone had the same experience or is there no hope for me?

As long as you're getting stronger and are gaining around 2 pounds per month, you're doing fine.

    gaining weight is about eating.

    2lbs a month is fine.
If you stop gaining weight eat more..

As for training.. just follow a pro written program. preferably one written for a novice
