IG killed it, along with the vast majority of all forums.
Awesome pics. Great size. Look thick. Solid. Tight. Keep us all posted on your continued progress with any new progress pics or vid clips. Show us what you got man. Wanna see how freakin' huge, solid, thick and tight you can get. Thanks for the motivation.

Seems to me what has killed this forum is that the people who were always contributing content have just stopped caring for whatever reason. Like that Alito guy for example, he would be updating his Ramy thread any time a new picture would surface.
It is with people like you that this sport will never grow. "When you say, everything and anything to be pro, do you mean even to turn HOMO?...

Yeah, this was also the first year I didn't watch the livestream, was there even a livestream? After so many years of Phix getting straight first scores I lost interest. The current crop of physiques and the characters behind them are not inspiring to me anymore. I check every once in a while, perhaps there's a better forum to get news?

Man, this thread brings back the good times, used to spend hours reading through the section. As I see it, there are several reasons why the section died:
1) Bodybuildng as the sport isn't progressing anyhow. I remember when I said "I'm done" to myself after 2014 Olympia results. Handling trophies to Heath no matter what isn't exactly the most interesting stuff to look forward to.
2) Bodybuilders themselfs clearly don't care about their (virtualy unexisting at the moment) fan based, publishing "training chest!!" videos twice a year which contains none of a new content.
3) For the general public when it comes to training it seems more appealing to do some "functional" stuff or something that is actually health beneficial, unlike doing 1\4 ROM cable tricep pushdowns and all that. Let's be honest here — except for masturbating to your reflection in the mirror bodybuilding isn't very useful for an average Joe.
4) More and more bodybuilders tend to die young. Just like with NFL and CTE researches coming out it's obvious that many bodybuilders are sacrificing their lives and health to achieve results. Seems kinda unethical to keep on supporting that.
5) Many new divisions as well as disciplines where something is actually happening and worth following (most notably MMA).
6) Countless IG and Youtube athletes who communicate with their audience and try to provide some interesting content.
Good night sweet professional bodybuilding, you will be remembered.

I remember when I first arrived at this forum, it was in the Dennis Wolf era of bodybuilding after Ronnie Coleman retired, (IFBB SECTION AS IT WAS KNOWN) I thought FlangmasterJ and DPNZ were the same person posting under 2 different troll accounts, usually when I owned one of them the other would arrive as back up, as far as I can remeber I never recieved a double negging though.

Forums have died and people have grown up.
Where we naturally came from Magazines to a forum for our voices to be heard, we grew old. The younger generation now have direct access to athletes of all sports through FB/IG/Snap etc. No need for forums. Also where our heroes were Arnie/Dorian/Ronnie or whoever the younger generation prefer IG guys. A much more attainable physique and that is now the modern ''heroes''.
Also for most of us life got in the way as we got older. Most of us are who were here in the bb.com boom period all well into our 30's or older now.Owe 2 reps to: BBNobu

I used to frequent this forum a lot but all the excitement is pretty much gone from the IFBB/open bodybuilding.
Phil's reign has been boring, and every year it's the same thing. Ramy had some hype but he's come up short over and over and has never really lived up to his potential yet. Combined with the fact that almost all the pros like Phil are horrible at releasing any kind of content there is just nothing to really discuss or get excited about.
Classic bodybuilding is probably the more exciting division now but seems like most that follow classic are a bit younger and don't post in this forum much, mostly on other social media or sites.*Korean Crew*

There's no personality. The champ is only in shape for 2 hours out of the whole year, even in prejudging he is still 10 lbs over weight, then, after the contest is over, he quickly balloons back up with carbs. . The olympia lighting is terrible. Most olympia athletes are watery and flat. Noone can hit a beautiful front double bicep except for Dexter Jackson(which is the only shot that even matters to a broad audience". Noone looks at pics of Phil Heath and says "I wanna look like him".

I followed these forums for years, then I got more into Instagram and stuff. Haven’t really been on here the last two or three years. I decided to log on tonight and this is the first thread I’m looking at. At least there are a few pros that interact with the fans on social media, Jose Raymond has been going live on Instagram like every night during cardio. I’m still a big fan of bodybuilding, have been for almost 30 years.
