plain protein shake is harmless as long ot has no other complicated and unnecessary workout ingredients

-Sunwarrior Clasic Plus (Vegan and organic)
-Dymatize All Natural Elite
Basically look for the most natural ingredients.
I'm sure there is more, but it's all I can think of.
P.S. For vitamins I recommend Garden of Live Vitamin Code Prenatal. What a time to be alive !

Does she even need a protein shake? If she eats enough protein, there would be no reason to supplement.

Getting your wife to consume enough protein during pregnancy can be a challenege. From personal experience most standard protein shakes are ok to use as long as she is using them in addition to what she is eating to boost her protein consumption and not using them to diet while growing a baby according to both of our midwifes at the time. People get really caught up on the organic train during pregnancy so its best to talk with your doctor or midwife about the issue.

I would talk to your doctor as each pregnancy is different. I have known people that used Sunwarrior during pregnancy because it is known to be one of the cleaner proteins.

My wife was told to stay away from protein powders due to the artificial sweeteners and artificial flavors. But there's so many different theories in this area. She simply stopped having shakes while she's pregnant.

I’d suggest speaking to her doctor or midwife.

My only fear would be the baby being to jacked before born.
Jokes aside I don't see any problem, technically protein powder is not more than filtered milk protein, so if she can have milk, why not whey?
I'm not a doctor though.
