Lost it. I had it once, but something happened where I no longer am enthusiastic about working out. I complete maybe 4 or 5 different exercises and basically just go through the motions. the fire is no longer there.
Just got a promotion at work, so I should be feeling really good while working out.. but it has the opposite effect on me. Generally I am unhappy at the end of my workouts. I know I should be smashing the women at the gym, but I don't feel like "the man" any longer.
questions, comments, concerns?

Yeah. STOP focusing on the women or anyone except YOUR GOD DAMN SELF when you're at the gym. You're not there to chat up the girl with the big butt doing squats. You are there for yourself and no one else.
Put your ear buds in, turn on some Pantera, take a caffeine pill if you really have to, and pump some ****ing iron!!!

As I've gotten older I have far less actual motivation to keep training hard. I would say forget motivation all together. Self discipline will get you a lot farther. Most days I have to force myself off the sofa to go workout, but once I'm there I usually have good workouts.
Truthfully, I don't even really enjoy the actual act of lifting weights. I don't think anyone does even people who say they love it. What we like is the benefits that come from it. Ask yourself this. Would you still lift heavy weights if there were no benefits to it? Nobody would do it. It's hard work, it's painful, it's not particularly fun, basically it sucks. BUT there are benefits to it. It's just delaying gratification. That's what makes it worth it when the sofa seems like a much better option for the immediate moment.Last edited by JoeDelts; 01-24-2018 at 07:12 PM.

Gym is not the only way to build a healthy body. You will need the gym believe me no matter what sport you do. But you can focus on sports that you like example gymnastics, swimming, marshal arts and let the gym be a place for performance enhancment and a complimentary exercise.
If there was olympic lifting gym in my city I might prefar it to the gym. So, gym is one way but not the only way, whatever you do make sure you are doing sports.
As for the chicks, they are everywhere, but your health is not to joke with, if you dont believe me tslk to a person with MS and ALS, they will teach you a lesson on what being healthy means.

You gotta go through hell, its takes time to get the motivation firing again. Sometimes it just setting up a new challenging routine. Sometimes its the music, most times its our diet. We arent getting the energy because we are what we at and we are putting in garbage so we are getting garbage in return. Finally make sure you running solo if you arent with positive people, if you are positive people stay positive.
My BitCoin wallet if you are feeling generous.
