How Much Progress Can A few Binges Take Away?

Im 17 and 179cm Tall I started out at 87KG(191Lbs) 9 months ago and have lost around 34KG since then and have gotten down to around 53KG(116lbs) through dieting alone and gym once a week. However recently every week there are just days where i just physically cannot stop eating. i usually try to eat between 1500 and 1800 calories a day, however on these days is ofter 5k+. .How much are these days affecting my progress?

the difference between 1.5k cals and 5k cals is 3.5k cals, the equivalent of 1lb of fat.

Your massive under eating on average will hold you back far more; you are actually risking growth and hormone damage eating so little.
Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

My maintenance calories are around 1750-1850 calories according to most calculators. Would upping my cals to 1850 daily be better?

Are you female? If not than that would maybe be your BMR.... which is what you'd burn being in bed all day.

Most growing teens need ~2500-3000 calories to grow. Some even more.

You are underweight and bordering anorexic. 5'8" and only 116 is not healthy for anyone.

You need to eat at a surplus and gain weight, what you are doing is very detrimental to your health and development; speak to your parents about this, you are under weight and should in no way be restricting calories.

Thanks for all the advice, has been very helpful. With regards to upping cals would there be any negative side effects from going immediately from 1800 to 2500?

I would say go to 2500, yes, be aware that weight will jump initially, but this is normal; it will be water retention, glycogen, more food in digestion, ect and NOT fat gain. So do not freak out.

Eat at that for 2-3 weeks, then start to monitor weight changes, eat more as needed to end up gaining ~3 pounds per month, adding calories (200 or so) every time weight gain stalls for 2 weeks. Lift on a proven routine while doing this and you can gain muscle relatively fast given your age and finally being in a surplus.

That is good, you are primed to make some massive gains, more so than any other time in your life. Post any further questions here and I will do what I can to answer.

Been eating between 2.5k and 2.8k cals for the past few days and noticed quite a bit of stomach fat gain. Should i rather lower cals to 2.1k for a slower approach?

As mentioned earlier in this thread, this is NOT FAT GAIN. However considering your poor habit with food and previous undereating it does not surprise me that this will play on your own psych and insecurity.
You need to keep eating to support your growth as a teenager, for your own body functions and overall health. Don't lower your calories back down.

Short cuts to success are often paved with lies.
    1/13/16: Massive hernia.
5/10/16: Finally back to lifting, light but improving.

5'10 and 116 pounds???? My god.

Stop restricting yourself from food. You need to be gaining AT LEAST 2 pounds per month. If not, eat more.
