Exclamation At how heavy squat did you get big legs?

I know there's no magic number and it depends on a lot of things, but many say that heavy squats gaved them the quads they wanted.
Just want to know which counts heavy, 1,5 / 2 /2,5 / 3 bodyweight squat? Of course if you'r natty...

I will soon hit my first goal, 1,5BW front squat, my only leg exercise twice a week, my quads growed a bit, but of course I want more.
Next year I plan to hit 2BW at front squat!

Please only post if your main leg exercise is squats! It wont tell me too much if you do a ton of leg press and extension after squats...

    Thanks!

err how many inches do they have to be to be classified as big xD??

Personally I find bodyweight multiplies pretty irrelevant for comparisons, because they are weight class dependent.
    Useful as goals though

It won't tell you much in any event. When it comes to 1RMs, a lot of that is technique/training driven.

Why are you only doing front squats? What about your hamstrings?

Because I train alone (I love it), I feel much safer that I can drop down the bar, I can't force out reps with bad form, more comfortable then back squat, good for the back (never felt pain or soreness), and because it looks cool XD

Hamstrings... yes I know I'm dumb, used to do RDL but never felt my hams, no machines here, tried bodyweight exercises but no idea it helps, and I'm lazy...

240kg below parallel pr with one in the tank..
29" thighs. Probably alot of it is hams and adductors. (And some extra fluff)

But its not important... Everyone has different anthropometry ( limb length, muscle insertions, ligament positioning, fibre distribution ect)

So it's gonna tell you nothing really.. except once you can legit rep out 4pps or so, your likely gonna have pretty thick legs unless your a genetic freak with God tier force production and levers.. (think maxx chewnin skinny legs but excellent output)

    So, again...

I've only just started to take weights seriously so I'm still a beginner.
My thighs are 21" and I can leg press 120kg. I can't dead lift or squat with a bar yet because I am all lower body strength. I think a lot of what determines how much you can get off the ground is overall constitution. I have weak shoulders, and of course that affects the entire back- so I won't be doing any dead lifts or heavy squats until I strengthen my shoulders and back overall, and sort out all the muscle imbalances. I'm basically being extra cautious so I don't end up with some bad injuries.

Anyway, I got most of the size in my legs with leg pressing as heavy as possible when I can, weighted lunges, jump squats with body weight and sprints. I actually think sprints have been a huge help.

    No brain, no gain.

    You can't out-train bad nutrition.

"The fitness and nutrition world is a breeding ground for obsessive-compulsive behavior. The irony is that many of the things people worry about have no impact on results either way, and therefore aren't worth an ounce of concern."--Alan Aragon
