    Training/bodybuilding after a double mastectomy

I live on the Hawaiian island of O‘ahu soon to be moving back to the Los Angeles area. I’m post op almost 6 months from having a double mastectomy, having my second of three surgeries next month. I’m looking for a personal trainer that “specializes” with this. Any and all suggestions and/or recommendations are welcomed

Nobody specialises in this, too niche. But lots have experience in training people after surgeries.

If the mastectomy involves removing muscle or joint tissue, things get complicated. If it's just breast tissue, then it's just a more extreme version of for example someone getting a skin melanoma out - you just don't want to tear it open.

But overall it's serious sht. Surgery is assault on the body, that's why you have to sign an assault form. Your doctor is your best guide on this. Focus on healthy recovery, rather than gym gainz.
