All 8 Obama budget years where positive GDP/positive economic growth.The only other President to achieve that feat was Democrat Bill Clinton.

Meh, there's so many factors that go into the economy. I know Ecto is obviously trolling here, but people need to stop praising the president alone for the economy. Presidents do not have a lot of direct control over the economy. It has more to do with fed policy and general economic cycles, global oil/energy prices, tech, etc.

A lot of Bill's economy was due to him being a moderate president who worked with the republican controlled congress. He also was able to take advantage of the dotcom boom / overall tech boom where computers were really starting to take off.

We had a horrendous recovery after the recession though under Obama. Worst since WWII.

The last years of the Clinton administration were in complete collapse mode for the economy. Everything was based on lies. Over valued markets, falsely valued housing, etc. it was all a big house of cards that was falling.

The market began to crash before bush was ever in office, or even passed a single piece of legislation. It was crashing well before SCOTUS ruling even helped lead him to winning the election much less than before he took office.

Then sept 11th happened. This was the final straw that sent the falsified Clinton economy into a tailspin. It was a very overwhelming even for America in general, and a tough recovery followed.

Note the downturn starting prior to inauguration, and well prior to the 1st major congressional sessions laws implemented under his administration.

The following result was a massive spike in unemployment. Then after sept 11, it even spiked much higher



Then bush passed the Bush tax cuts which stabilized the economy and progressively dropped unemployment month by month. It lasted until the minimum wage hike mid 2007 began to spark higher unemployment



so yes, Bush did in fact inherit a failing economy.

The whole Clinton time was a huge ass sham- he was one of the only President to do 2 recessions the one he left us in and the One he created the framework for and caused in 2008- with a little help from Senator Hillary Clinton and Senator Obama.

Now that you love this “last budget year” crap so much well how did Clinton leave things on his last budget year

Dow closed at 8847.56 his last budget day down 24.5% from its current all time high

And continued to tank to 7286 down 37.8 at its low the next year until bush could pass the tax cut to save it after Clinton’s mess.

And lime I said above the markets were already tanking before he left.
