So I am currently in highschool and have just started my sophomore year 1 month ago. I have made it a long term goal to be lifting 1000+ lb.s (max bench+ max squat+ max power clean) by the end of highschool. While I believe I can do it I do worry about my goal. I feel like I'm a little smaller built than most who would go for this goal, while these thoughts could be just me I decided to ask online to see what others thought.
Maxes from beginning this year (1 month old):
Squat- 270
Bench- 205
PClean- 195 (never got this exact)
My plan in order to make my goal was to increase my maxes by 50 lbs. a year through my coaches' weightlifting program (former college football player and an experienced weightlifter). Assuming I made this goal I would finish at
Sq.- 420
Bench- 355
PClean- 345.
I guess I'm not looking for anything exact I think I'm just worried about reaching a point where its hard to make increases in my weight. Feel free to leave any comments you have or any goals you have fire yourself. Thank you.
