Kev looked as big maybe even slightly bigger than in 1992 at the 2016 O, his biggest downfall were his legs.
Flex on the other hand despite being only a few lb lighter this year than in 1993, looked much smaller everywhere except the arms.

I don't know why everyone was saying how great Flex looked this year but gave Kevin a bunch of crap last year. I thought Flex looked very bad and his arms looked off. The MMM's comeback was much more successful. Plus, its not over, Kevin will be competing in 2018. Don't be surprised if he sneaks in and wins a show or two. People won't be expecting it.

He definitely looked better than Flex but you have to remember what Flex went through and that he competed in classic physique. I think people were kind of disappointed because Kevin made it seem like he's a legitimate contender when it wasn't the case (I didn't really believe he would be but I honestly though top 6 was 50/50 and top 10 was a very strong possibility). Flex said that his goal was to come in at 85-90% (obviously he didn't) and also said his goal was to be the best he can be and be an inspiration to kidney transplant survivors. That's the difference mostly and because we were more realistic in general this time around. I personally thought Flex had decent chances of placing top 10 but more likely outside of it but probably not dead last because he will be gifted (I was right this time).

Are you aware that Phil is thinking about competing well into his 40s? Originally his goal was to win 10 and retire, now he thinks he can keep going for another 10 years. If he wins 15+ Sandows, it would be the biggest middle finger to all his haters and knowing Phil he might just do it for that reason and that reason alone. Clearly, he can't be beaten at least not by the current crop of bodybuilders.

There is a disconnect with Phil and reality when it comes to how good he is as a bodybuilder imo. And this is why he's easily one of the most disliked mr olympias ever. Phil thinks he's on his way to become the GOAT but he could go on and win 9, 10 och even 15 sandows but he will never go down as the best ever just because his physique is not the best ever. Ronnie would smoke Phil and i would bet even Jay and Dorian at their best would beat him.Music Crew

Regarding Coleman, yeah he was the best bodybuilder of all time and I don't see anybody surpassing that anytime soon. A physique like that only comes once in a lifetime. Jay Cutler at his best (2001-2003 imo) would probably narrowly edge out Phil at his very best (2011) just due to having a much larger frame. While Jay never had any real outstanding bodyparts, at his point in his career he had no weaknesses (even his waist wasn't that wide). 1993 Dorian vs 2011 Phil would be much closer than people think and imo Phil might just edge him out due to his superior leg development and glutes. Keep in mind when Dorian was competing the most muscular (his weakest pose pre bicep tear) wasn't a mandatory and this is arguably Phil's best pose. While Dorian's back width is unmatched except by a few, his back double bicep doesn't have that 3d look Phil's has and Ronnie's had. Of course Dorian and Jay at their best would smash 2017 Phil hard but you also have to remember when they were way off, they still won the Olympia (1994 and 1997 for Dorian) and Jay was better when he was placing 2nd to Ronnie but was especially bad in 2007 and 2010 was arguably Phil's year. So all in all....
1. Ronnie
2. peak Dorian/ peak Jay/ peak Phil (take your pick).
Also wow, Phil looked so much better at 215-220 in 2006 (I think this is from Colorado right) as opposed to now. They should really just have pro bodybuilders look like that. While his muscles aren't as big or as 3d, he has way better shape and separation.

I don't really think it would be that close between Jay/Dorian at their peak against Phil, i think they would smoke him.
They gave Jay the 2010 olympia to Jay when he was way off. And Phil was close to his best.
Only pose Phil might win against both of them is the BDB.
Also when a guy like Shawn Ray who really dislikes Dorian comes out and says he thinks Dorian is a superior bodybuilder i tend to believe it :PMusic Crew
