Im feeling really good after today. Ive never done anything over 170kg for more than a single rep, today doing 3x3 feels pretty damn good. Bench was great too. 4th set was a lot slower, but no grinding reps. Feeling strong.

Had a terrible nights sleep so wasnt feeling too great going into this. Deadlifts felt heavy but moved well. The second set i feel i lost my form a little. Third set i focused more and it ended up being the best set of all three. I guess this is a 3x3 PR type thing, if there is such a thing haha.
For my upper back work, im going to try doing 8min AMRAPs. I get a good pump and dont spend too long on the last exercise.

Squat was ok today, final rep of 3rd set was pretty damn hard. This is a previous grindy 5RM so cant complain. Bench felt heavy from the start, but never actually got worse. Bar speed never really slowed down.

No, i actually got it from a few places. The Barbell Medicine, RTS, PowerliftingToWin templates all do upperback/gpp work this way. I really like it, makes things much more efficient at the end of my workout. Is there a Nuckols article about it?
As far as progression, for my main "competion " S, B, D im cycling through sets of 5 then 4 then 3 reps. Variations and assistance movements are usually higher rep schemes. (6-5-4 or 9-8-7). Its working really well so far. At some point ill do a peak and see what i can do.
As for exercise variation, im not planning on changing anything yet. Ive recently changed paused squats to beltless squats, added in overhead press, front squats JM Press and SLDL as assistance movements. Im hoping to get a Slingshot soon, so maybe change my thursday pause bench to an overload bench.

And no he doesn't have an actual article regarding that, he just suggested something similar for assistance lifts.
Week 1: 70% for as many reps as possible in 6 minutes
Week 2: 70% for as many reps as possible in 8 minutes (trying to maintain the same pace)
Week 3: 70% for as many reps as possible in 10 minutes (trying to maintain the same pace)
Week 4: 70%, 1/2 the total reps of week 3 in 10 minutes
Week 5: start over a bit heavier

Today was a bit of a mix in terms of performance.
Pause Deadlifts felt ok... not great, not terrible... Last set was probably the best one, I think it just takes me a while to get in the groove for pauses.
TnG Bench Press was brilliant. This is my lightest bench variation for the week, so handling 100kg and it feels easy is a step in the right direction.
Stiff Leg Deadlifts. These felt awful, I just had no energy left for these. I overshot on my first set somehow, RPE was way too high. I knew I couldn't complete another 2 sets so I lowered the weight. Skipped upperback work because I just felt beat.
Next week will be a much needed deload. Probably going to only do my accessory barbell movements next week, have a total break from 'competition' and 'secondary' movements. Im thinking:
Monday: Feet Up Bench Press
Tuesday: 303 Tempo High Bar Squats
Thursday: Overhead Press
Friday: Fat Grip Stiff Leg Deadlift
Plus some bodybuilding movements and possibly some prowler pushes and pulls.
