    Unhappy Booty gains help

    Hey I need help with what excercises to do to make my body shape more appealing/curvy/hourglass. I do kickbacks (20lbs ankle weight on each ankle) and clamshells and fire hydrants and leg raises, all with weights. It doesn't seem like my booty wants to fill out in a nice curvy proportionate way. You can see the weird indents and how I'm square-like despite having a big butt. It's very frustrating because I am working out with weights 1-3x a week with absolutely no change in the curving out of my butt. Thank you

    You'll prob need to eat more, and lift heavy. Squats and deadlifts, fam! Also, try split squats. They're great too. Just lift heavier, do more heavy squats, and add split squats too. Give it time.

    You can work out to change the shape/size of the muscle somewhat, but it sounds like you are more interested in the soft tissue.

    Only way I know to change that is with a surgeon.

    With light weight and goofy exercises like that, no surprise. Eat more and treat booty like any muscle group when you're trying to build muscle. See:

    Incidentally, you would be wise to take partyrocking's program suggestion if you want to build actual muscle. The "routine" you are on currently will accomplish nothing.

    Another vote for Strong Curves. Especially in a surplus.

    I have been following that and similar programming for a few years now and believe me, the shape that muscle can give you is just beyond words. But I mean, if you just want it to be fat, eat in a surplus and do.. nothing. I am not sure you will be happy though.. maybe you will... who knows.

    Deadlift, squats, lunges with the bar, hip thrusts with the bar, single leg deadlifts with 45 pound + kettlebells. Do all this twice a week. Wait three years, you'll get what you want.
