I was picked in a MY PROTEIN promo to receive a sample bag of their very popular Impact Whey.
Two nights ago I received a package and to my surprise I received 3 ten serving sample bags in
three different flavors, Cookies & Cream, Mocha, and Vanilla. Thanks to ALL the MY PROTEIN reps
for picking me in the promo and thanks to MY PROTEIN for the very generous sample pack surprise.
In this on going review thread I will be posting up my thoughts on what I feel about the flavors,
mix ability, profile, and the versatility of each flavor and when I have a good feel for each flavor
I will then post my overall final review.

Ingredients
Whey Protein Concentrate, Natural And Artificial Flavoring, Soy Lecithin, Sucralose.
Contains Milk & Soy (Lecithin) Ingredients.
This is the ingredient profile which is posted in the Bodybuilding.com store and the same profile is
on the back of each of the sample bags. What puzzles me is that this is a pure whey concentrate
yet on both ingredient panels it states NO cholesterol Whey concentrate most always
has at least 40-70mg of cholesterol so I think something is not right here so if any of the MY Protein
reps could chime in and let me know what's up with this I would appreciate it for my final review.
I went to the MY Protein website and it says 65mg of cholesterol per serving so that seems right for
a pure whey concentrate so hopefully the reps can clear this up for me.
Couldn't wait to try one of the flavors so right away I cracked open the Mocha flavor and
mixed some into my nightly dose of cottage cheese.
Then I topped it with some fiber cereal and toasted flax seeds.
The mocha had a pretty good coffee flavor with just the right amount of choc sweetness to really
give the cottage and the toppings a really enjoyable flavor.
I will be comparing this mocha flavor to a couple of other coffee flavored proteins which I've reviewed
in the past.

That same night I hooked up a bowl of overnight proats for the next morning using the C&C flavor.
I was kind of surprised that when I opened the bag it didn't smell at all like C&C and it was more
of a caramel type aroma. I figured someone goofed at the factory and put the wrong flavor in the
bag.
This is what the proats looked like in the morning and it was very thin and watery and not thick and
rich the way I like my overnight proats but I kind of figured this would happen cause this is a pure
whey concentrate and it would need some form of casein in the formula to help thicken up. Also the
ingredient profile doesn't seem to have any thicken agents added.
This didn't have any type of cookies and cream type of flavor to it at all as proats which usually
enhances the flavor of proteins so you really taste it but again this lacked any C&C type flavor
but I'll talk more about the flavor after I post up about the shake which I consumed with this flavor.

I try to keep it interesting and MY PROTEIN has a LOT of flavors and I'm sure they have a bunch
of flavors that HIT with an IMPACT.
This ^^^^is the Cookies & Cream flavor in a shake, which mixed in proats I really couldn't taste any
C&C flavor BUT in a shake I actually thought OK let's see what this caramel protein taste like cause that
was the aroma I got from it when I opened the bag. To my surprise this shake really caught me off guard
cause the cookie flavor which you usually get from the cookie pieces that this protein doesn't actually
have really taste like cookies. I couldn't believe it cause again in proats I didn't taste C&C but in a
shake mixed with water the flavor came through.

I'm just starting Lol and I'll post my final feedback once I taste each flavor a couple more
times in a shake. When it comes to flavors that I have on my list to try in the future, it's
Butter Pecan, Boston Cream Pie, and Salted Caramel and maybe a few others in the future
but for now I'm content to try these flavors that your co. sent me.
This is a shot of the bottom of the shaker with the C&C and as you can see it has no Oreo
Cookie pieces but I was pleasantly surprised how I could taste the Oreo Cookie flavor infused
in the protein without leaving a bunch of cookie pieces floating on the bottom of the shaker.

The Mocha flavor is pretty tasty and it came through nicely in proats but like the C&C it just
doesn't thicken up so this whey concentrate just isn't meant for overnight proats.
Tomorrow I'll be trying this flavor out in a shake tomorrow and I'll post up a pic of the
vanilla flavor in a shake which I had today and again I need to try all the flavors at least
two more times in shakes before I post my final review on this protein.

Yesterday I went with the vanilla flavor post workout and I've gone through so many different
types of vanilla over the past two years such as cake batter, ice cream, vanilla caramel, and
butter cream type vanillas that I forgot what a true regular vanilla taste like. This My Protein
is exactly that a straight up plain vanilla with nothing exotic to it. It wasn't bad at all but I
definitely want to try it out in a shake one more time.

I figured since I was off from BOTH of my jobs today I'd experiment in the kitchen today
with the vanilla flavor.
Almond Coconut Protein Muffins
They baked up nice and fluffy but the test was going to be how they were on the inside.
They came out PERFECT!!! and I'll post up the easy recipe tomorrow.

Thanks they came out pretty good and the texture was just right.
Ingredients
1- 1/2 cup of oat powder (Muscle Feast Brand)
2- 2 tbs of almond flour
3- 2 scoops of My Protein Vanilla Impact Whey
4-3/4 tsp of baking powder
5-1/2 tsp of baking soda
6- 1/4 cup of roasted almonds chopped up
7- 1/4 cup of unsweetened flaked or shredded coconut
8- 1 banana mashed up in a separate bowl then add it to the batter (this is more for texture and not flavor)
9- 3 tbs of nonfat plain yogurt
10- 2 egg whites
11- 2 tbs of liquid almond extract (this is a must for that extra almond flavor)
12- 1 oz of unsweetened almond milk
Mix all the dry ingredients then add the wet and mix thoroughly then spoon mixture into
a 6 muffin pan that has been coated with nonstick spray. If you want more muffins then add
the rest of the batter to a bigger muffin pan but I only made 6 muffins cause I have something
else planned for the rest of the batter and I'll be posting that up tomorrow. Place the pan into
a 325 degree preheated oven for about 18-20 min. When done remove and let cool before storing
the muffins in the fridge until ready to eat.

Thanks for checking out the review and I too want to try a few other flavors and when I do get
some in the future I'll definitely post feedback about them in this thread. They sometimes have
promos on their site for the 10 serving bags like they sent me so if I see that again I'll snatch a
few of the flavors such as the butter pecan,Boston cream pie, salted caramel, peppermint cane,
French Toast, and maybe the Strawberry cream or some other unusual flavor from their site.
I'll be posting my final review on the flavors that I have this week and so far Mocha is way ahead
of the other 2 flavors.

This was my first time trying anything from MP and when I do my final review in this thread I'll give
my honest feedback on what I think about the flavors, profile, and anything else which I would consider
important when buying a protein.
Very strong flavor coming from this C&C and it was definitely evident with these protein balls
and though this was not one of my favorite from the three flavors it was interesting that there
were no cookie pieces in this C&C flavor but you could taste the cookie flavor.

Ingredients
1- 2 heaping tbs of coconut flour
2- 1 1/2 scoops of My Protein Impact Whey C&C
3- 1 tsp of liquid van extract
4- 2 tbs of tiny dark choc chips
5- about 10-12 tbs of unsweetened almond milk
In a bowl mix the flour, protein, and chips together then add the extract and then SLOWLY add the
almond milk at 1 tbs at time and keep stirring the mixture until you get a texture where you can roll
the ingredients into a ball so that's why you just don't want to add all the milk at once and do it slowly
cause sometimes less than 12 tbs will be enough.
Mix all the balls and place them in a freezer safe container then put them in the freezer for about 2-3 hrs
to really firm up and then when ready just store them in the fridge.

This is my final review after using all the flavors for the past week and getting a good feel for this protein.
Ingredients - 8/10- This is a pretty straight forward profile with no unnecessary ingredients but the bags I
received and the BB.com store have the WRONG cholesterol amount and it says 0 cholesterol and I knew
that had to be wrong cause this is a pure concentrate whey so if you go to the My Protein site you'll see
that it has 65mg per serving which sounds correct for a pure concentrate.
Mix ability- 9/10- I mixed all my shakes in a shaker cup with water and it mixed very well with not clumping
or particles floating but you do get a slight bit of foam but it didn't take away from the taste or the shake
experience.
Taste- Mocha- 9/10- This was my favorite of the 3 flavors that I tried and the Choc is about 60% with a
40% coffee flavor and it for me was very enjoyable. If I had to compare this with another protein it would
be BSN's Syntha6 Mochaccino flavor that they use to have which I thought was very tasty but My Protein
Impact had a slightly stronger coffee flavor which I liked and thought the Syntha6 lacked slightly.
Vanilla- 7.5/10 - This was a straight up vanilla flavor which I haven't had in a while and I've been so use
to having exotic type vanilla's which have more cake batter, butter cream, ice cream, or butter scotch
flavor to them that I almost forgot what a straight up vanilla was like. The vanilla was good but had a
slightly over sweet bitterness bite to it and for me when it comes to straight vanilla's Animal Whey is
one of the best that I've had.
Cookies & Cream- 6/10- This was definitely the most unique C&C that I've had cause it didn't have any
tiny cookie pieces which is common with all other proteins in this flavor. Though it didn't have the cookie
pieces you did get a taste of cookie in this protein which I thought was great so now you get no wasted
pieces sitting on the bottom of your shaker BUT the cream flavor was overly bitter so it really hurt this flavor
on the taste. C&C is a flavor that is hard to really get right and very few companies out there have come
close to really capturing this flavor.
Overall- 8/10- This was my first experience with any My Protein supplement and I'm glad I got a chance
to try their very popular Impact Whey and I gotta say for a straight whey concentrate protein I had NO
stomach issues at all and it seemed to digest as good as any of the other proteins I've used. I will be
grabbing a few of the other unique flavors of Impact Whey in the future and trying them out and I'll update
this thread when I do and I just might try a few other products from My Protein that I'm interested in.
I definitely recommend giving this protein a try as long as you can handle a straight whey concentrate and
if your lactose intolerant than they do make an Isolate version which you can use instead but again I didn't
have any stomach issues with this Impact Whey and I look forward to having another Impact with My Protein
Whey again in the future

This mini cake was made from the same ingredients as the muffins and the only thing added
was the protein frosting which is easy to make.
Frosting- In a bowl add 3/4 scoop of Impact Vanilla and slowly add a few drops of water and stir
briskly until you get a thick spreadable consistency then spread it all over the cake and garnish.
