Caps got Canadiens today, hopefully they figured out not to slash on faceoffs, and play significantly better.

Shatty on the PP is gonna be hnnnng. Best QB since Leetchy. You can see he makes passes McDonagh And most other dmen can't.
7th overall Andersson is NHL ready but worry about his offensive upside in the NHL. He could play a Jordan Staal/Calle Jarnkrok type checking center role right now. Don't know how much of a scorer this kid is gonna be tho. Rag$ took the safe route on that pick.
Speaking of Staal, he's exactly what the Pens need to 3peat.

I wouldn't mind Staal as 3C for the Pens as long as Carolina retains 50% of his cap hit, which would never happen. Honestly, I'm torn between a guy like Sheahan who has a low cap hit and shouldn't cost much to acquire (but leaving the Pens with weak 3/4 Cs) or paying a higher price for a better center with salary retained (someone like Bjugstad). I don't want them to go for a big fish like Duchene.

Wouldn't mind? If I was a pencel I'd jizz everywhere at JS with 50% retained on the team. Like you said though, zero chance. Selke caliber center who can still give you 40-45 points. Better on both sides of the puck than Nick Bonino. Carolina could be a playoff sleeper and he's their best centerman
Bjudstad is hardly an upgrade over Sheahan IMO

Have we established a date/time for the draft? Didn't know if it changed since some had issues with the original plans...

Am i the only one that think he will regress?
Also its category scoring. Makes sense since LiaGOAT only fills the stat sheet for goals.
But i honestly see him regressing this year. like most rookies do in their 2nd year after having a goat first rookie season (outside of Mcgoat whos the best hockey player in the world once CTE catches up to crosby)"Steven Curry is a mouth guard chewing piece of chit" - Gandhi

he probably will. shot 18% last year. Wasn't top 50 in SOG. that's probably why his fantasy ranking is low but he will always shoot above league average cuz his shot is insane, just not 18% that's too high.
Schiefele, little, laine all top 10 in Sh% last year. part of that is they create high quality offense but it's simply unsustainable too. so the Jets offense overall might regress a little bit too.
and avoid TJ Oshie who shot 24% and scored 33 goals. probably falls of hard this season.

Honestly if this team wants more success they need to be less aggressive on offense and tight up on defense.
Typically speaking a team that is more defensive with the puck, better zone control etc scores less.
I'd like to see the jets offense in that 8-12 range but their defense be middle of the pack or better."Steven Curry is a mouth guard chewing piece of chit" - Gandhi
