Something like this:

Are there better choices or are they all pretty much the same? I feel like I'm missing a ton by not being able to do these and cable tricep/bicep work. Ceiling height is no issue.
EDIT: That one is probably ****. York has this one:

I've had a gift certificate for there for years, wonder if it's still good. I could get that for like $300 then.

I've owned my Pro Maxima Plate Loaded Lat Pull/Seated Row combo for years, and I've recommended to check on CL used for them. I got mine for a few hundred and it's heavy duty, reliable, and doesn't take up very much space. It's probably been the best multi-use piece of equipment I have in my garage.

Don't waste your money on a new Powerline Lat machine. It is very lightweight (69 vs. 189 lbs for the York). The low cable feature is not convenient with no foot rest for low rows nor foot plate for lifting exercises.
The York is much better, particularly if you can buy it new for around $300.
Considering your location, you should be able to find a decent lat machine on Craig's List.O─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O

Any ideas what brand this is? I'd prefer free weights and not a stack though.

This one used standard, I could get adapter sleeves:

Here's another, is TuffStuff any good?

I sent an email about the TuffStuff, they seem to have been pretty expensive and decent.Last edited by jfindon; 09-15-2017 at 01:14 PM.

I find the stack-loaded lat machines to be much more convenient than the plate loaded ones. I can easily change the weight as I am doing an exercise. They take up much less room than plate-loaded machines because you do not need access to both sides and a place to store the weights.
I have no idea what brand that is. It looks very sturdy, but I am not a fan of that type of low pulley.
Some people cannot take pictures. From what I can see, it looks to be pretty light-weight. The weights move along a polished square tube. Not very smooth.
Buy this. NOW! I see at least 5 attachments. They are worth at least half of the asking price. If you do not like it, you should be able to flip the machine and make a profit.O─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O

For comparison, here is a TuffStuff one in KC area, being sold by a dreamer.

I prefer the stack as well. It's kind of a pain changing out plates for different exercises.“No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.” ― Socrates

More than likely it is gone. That was a lot of machine and accessories for a very good price. It would have been a steal at double the price. Many CL sellers get lazy and take a while to remove ads after selling the item, particularly when they don't list a phone number.

I haven't found anything yet. The TuffStuff ad was removed despite never hearing from the guy both times I emailed. Nice courtesy.
This one is still available and close, but the guy has no idea what brand it is. He told me there is no brand. Not sure how I feel about that.

Why does it matter what brand it is? The price is good. It looks sturdy and solid. Does it meet your needs?
I would replace the cable. I do not like the DIY cable clamps. I would spend a few more bucks and get cables with swaged ends. That would also raise the end of the cable several inches so you would have full range of motion.O─O York Barbell Crew #53 O─O
